Last night playing 1-3...
I take a seat at the main game, buy-in for the max of $200. 4 players at the table have well over $600, one lady with $1000 easy. She was a maniac, overbetting to the sky into $10 or $20 pots. After about an hour of play I'm drooling to pick up a hand and hit a flop because I've picked up several tells off of her and can't wait to get into a hand. Soon enough, I'm in the BB, she's limped in MP and a solid young guy with $200 behind raises the BT to $20. The SB who also has a huge stack flats. I look down at Q
10
and decide to go to a flop with it, so I flat, and she flats behind. Flop comes down Q
10
5
. SB leads out for $20. I decide to flat as this is not exactly the flop I was looking for and the crazy lady may just isolate herself and I for me. Instead, she just calls. Now the OR and BT tanks and finally comes out with a $75 raise, to a flat $100. At this point I figure the worst he has is AQ, with KK and AA most likely. I expect the SB to muck, but instead he flats! Now I have to commit or muck, and I don't like mucking much, so I shove over the top ($175) with a silent prayer to the poker gods to let me fade the draws and let my hand hold up. Now the crazy lady, true to her nature, asks for a countdown of the OR and BT, and 4-bets (!?!) to $300 (about $100 more than the guys count) so the SB who at this point has done nothing but flat the whole way just calls again. Turn is the J
, both crazy lady and SB check. River is the 10
. Both check. SB turns over red AA, which beats crazy lady's K
J
(!?!), I turn over my tens full, and the OR and BT mucks, says later he had KQ. I take down a $750 pot. After the hand, the crazy lady gets upset because she had mistakenly raised too much and hadn't intended to create a 2nd side pot, blamed the dealer repeatedly, and soon after racked up and left.
