Guess he was getting close to a price on the flop but WTF was he doing there? lol

btw: V1 said he folded KK so V2 actually saved me money.

If he is putting you on KK or AA (given your 3-bet pre-flop), this is actually a +EV call on the flop. His pre-flop call is pretty terrible though.

Mohegan 1/2

I've chatting it up with the people around me and not really paying attention so I throw in a 5 dollar chip thinking I was the BB but I was really UTG. Dealer calls straddle and I shrug and joke to the guys around me that it was an accident. 3 limpers and I check my option with 2c 4h.

Flop comes Ac 3h 5h
pot ~$24

blinds check and I(~300bb) yell out "that flop was good for my hand" bet out 20. 2 folds. villain on the button (~200bb loose asian) raises to 40. blinds fold I make it 120. villian quickly calls and I yell out for the 9d.

turn Qd
pot ~$264

I insta-shove and villian quickly stands up and calls. I announce "I got the current nuts", villian slams his AK to the felt and storms off. He comes back with $200 but instantly table changes, lol. Glad the dealer held me to that straddle!

Man I need to learn to run better...

MTT I played a couple of weeks ago, out with middle set vs QQ and A3 on a T84

Played another MTT last night before the cash game got rolling... First level I get crippled to 1.5BB when I lose set over set... build my way back to being very close to making the money and bust AIPF with AK vs his AQ.

Cash game last night I manage to stack both mega fish at the table, and stack a regular, but bleed off chips to SS players hitting their crap hands to end the session -$200. It was like getting attacked by little poodles and getting eaten alive. Only got it in bad once, but still bled to death...

Played a WSOP satty today, when the hot as fire CL enters the table. I pickup JJ UTG+1 and raise, get looked up by a SS and win it. Next hand I pickup AK raise UTG, CL UTG+1 triples my open, I push, he snap calls with AQo and I am out to the rivered Q...

If I would have ran good this weekend I figure I would be up about $3K instead of down $380.

I was at my whiskey-fueled gamb00ling madness homegame last night when this hand transpired:

.25/.50 no limit
UTG (tight, solid) shoves for 40bb, UTG (loose, ATC) calls for 33bb, folds to me on the button with 63 and SB is telegraphing fold so I call for 37bb, BB (decent) covers and calls.

UTG: AJ
UTG+1: Q4
me: 63
BB: AT

I was laughing about this hand all night and into the morning... I mean, how often do you get aipf four-ways with 6-high and have the best of it!!!!

I take this is a bad beat thread I have a few of them,

Hero is in the Big blind with 66
4 limpers to the flop.

Flop: A-A-6
I lead PSB, SS in MP goes all in, so that it opens the betting round again, guy on BTN calls, I 3bet the flop and he calls again so LDO he has an Ace

Turn: 2
I go all in, BTN calls and shows A6.......great times.

River: 2 - BTW

Not sure of the action on the flop but I pick a flush/gut shot draw with AQss OTT with 2 other players, MP bets, I ship it, BTN folds, MP quick calls, I miss river and say "you must win" as I flip my cards face up on the table, the dealer pushes the pot to him and he doesnt show anything, he quickly mucks and says nothing, I complain to dealer.

Dealer says the comment I made forfeits my hand, as I go to walk out MP runs after me and gives me a handful of cash (the same amount of my starting stack) says he called it on a draw and missed also and Ace high was good.

ok, i'll play. this happened a few weeks back at one of the indian places, 1/3 NL game. I'd been playing a while and had about $1000 in front of me.

well-dressed middle-aged african american gentleman sits down at the other end of the table. Never seen him before, but apparently he's a reg, since many of the dealers and other players call him by name. In about 10 hands, he's built his stack to about $700, mainly by playing like a complete maniac. Imagine the most aggro maniac you've ever played against, that's this guy. Apparently he's a CEO and has money to "gamble" with. Yay!

I pick up AA in the small blind. A couple of folks limp, and he raises to $40 pf. Typical, he's been doing this with ATC.

I make it $100 to go. yeah, it's small, but i know the rest of the nits at the table will fold. They do, and it's back to CEO...and he gives me a look of unbridled determination mixed with hatred. It's a look I see a lot from similar villains, and I call it the "I am a high muckety muck and I will not be pushed around by a girl" look.

CEO says "I'm all in". I mentally fist pump and snap call, of course. Pot is now ~$1400.

He flips over 42 *facepalm*

by now the entire poker room is attentive to this hand.

oh, you know what's coming.

Wait for it.

flop:

653

Entire poker room yells a collective "" And I'm crying in my wheaties. Fortunately I'd made it all back in about 3 hours, but still, probably one of my more memorable beats.

A couple of Christmas eves ago I go to my regular club and play Santa by playing like a total moron giving away my $50 buy-ins to anyone with the balls to call me. I am making no secret of what I am doing...

I open raise AT get min raised which was the accepted signal that a gifting event was about to take place, so I AI and she snap calls with AA...

I jokingly tell the dealer, "3 spades please no waiting, we don't want **** to worry about getting sucked out on...."

Yep three on the flop...

I continue to run like Gawd and it totally F's my plan to play Santa...

My AA < AK, allin on AQJ flop (T on river)
My TT < AK, allin on T23 flop (turn 4 river 5 obv)

That's the hand that made me quit. And I aso folded after getting half my stack in with 98 on a QJTx board when the river came K and villain "value shoved" his KJ (he showed).

Not sure why I even play this game.
That was all one night. Three of 'em were to the same guy.

had a great session last night (2/5, +700 in 2hrs!) but am kicking myself for possibly leaving some $$ on the table.

Villain is older and loves to call down liberally if he likes the board. kinda like a pitbull, once he's got a flop, he's not letting go. Effective stacks 750.

3 limpers, villain limps in CO and I limp QJo from the SB. Flop is T 9 5

I check, everyone checks to villain, who bets 25 (oh **** he has a piece). I call, everyone else folds.

Turn is K . I check, reasonably sure he will fire. He does, and bets 95. I raise to 395, after his turn lead he has 2pr or better. He starts saying "oh my, oh my" but calls in 15 seconds.

There is about 250 behind, and I ship it in almost immediately on a J x river. He folds in 10 seconds...ughhh, I should have tanked for a second ughhhh. He said he turned a set of K's.
