Nut flush and river pairs board against a loose agressive player Nut flush and river pairs board against a loose agressive player

1/2 NL 9-handed. Villain has been sat for 1 hour, is loose aggressive but has hit a few boards well with his wide range at this point.

Stacks: Villain 450, Hero 375.

PF
Sitting UTG+1 with A8 facing a limp from UTG, I raise to 10
HJ calls
BB (villain) calls
UTG folds

Flop (31): 75J
Villain leads for 23
I call
HJ folds

Turn (77): 75J / 2
Villain leads for 50
I call

River (177): 75J / 2 / 7
Villain bets 50.
I call.

- Would a raise on the flop with my nut flush draw be good sometimes? I opted to just call because I didn't want to have to face a reraise and HJ was still to act behind me.
- Should raising my nut flush on the turn be used to balance my play? I opted not to do this because Villain's turn bet was decently sized; didn't want him to fold and if he's planning to 3-barrel bluff, I wanted him to stick to his line.
- River pairs board; at this point, is raising villain's small river bet ever a good play with my nut flush?

Thank you!

1/2 is all about getting value when you make big hands. Turn should be a raise to set up for river shove. Flop call is good.

Flop call is fine, I'd raise it against some players. Turn is obvious raise, you have the nuts and V just led into you again....dream scenario. If he folds, he didn't have anything good enough to pay off any large bets anyway. Chances V is bluffing are low, and most V's are going to give up bluffing on river when called by the PFR twice on this board, especially when the river is pretty much a brick. As played raise river to $170.

Flop is fine. You can mix in the occasional raise here, but the call works too.

Definitely raise the turn. You want to get stacks in here and that's not happening unless you raise.

Raise river. Sure, there's a chance he boated up but I doubt he bets only $50 in that case. $150-175 is a good size, but I would've much preferred this raise on the turn.
