Few limpers in 2/5 game ...
I have effective stack of 700$
hero raises the small blind with AcJc to 40$
BB and utg call pot is 135$
Flop comes Qc 7h 9d
I check flop BB leads out for 50$ Utg calls I call pot 285$
Turn is 9c giving me flush draw
BB checks utg bets 140$
I call BB folds
River is Kc making my flush
I lead for 200$ utg shoves all in
I call

I realize I should have just folded the flop my question is should I fold to the jam on the river ... check call the river all advice is aprreciated !!

My default against 2 folks after raising pre is to just lead the flop $75.

Checking and folding is probably better on this board texture.

If I read the post right you only have $370 back after betting the $200 on the river and pot is approx. $1,335 so you need to be good about 28% of the time to make the call profitable. Is your opponent nitty? Does he overvalue hands? Has he been splashing around? A lot of things may go into what read you have on him. Barring the villain being a total nit that you have never seen bluff I would be calling most villains with those pot odds although it is tough to think of many hands you beat that villian could have as played.

Ace is good. Bd draws are a thing and you’ll turn some Equity a good bit of the time. It’s less than half pot
Folding is 0 ev and we are trying to improve on that.

I have to agree with the other poster. Part of calling with back doors here is to appropriately defend against bluffs.

That burden is now divided up amongst the caller and ourselves. Calling with back doors when we are heads up at least gives us options to bluff later. There's no way that is a good idea here.

Without the caller I could see us defending here.
