Hi all,

1/3. Hero has been at the table for several hours playing $300. Vs cover. Hero should have tight image. It's a limped pot and hero is on BTN with A3cc and calls. Six players to the flop, pot $11.

Flop: J-2-6ccc. EP V (older Asian) bets $20, MP V (MAWG) calls, hero raises to $45. I chose a raise that would look like the Ac or perhaps a smaller flush trying to charge higher flush draws. Is a flat better?

Thanks,
DT

I'm pretty much always raising here. Too many scare cards to kill our action, let's start getting money in before that happens and while villains are willing to chase (which they are more likely to do on early streets than late ones).

Lol. It was the 2c, not 3c. Edited the post to correct the error. Good catch. Still waking up after a long session. Yawn.

With position and a lead and call in front of you I wouldn’t hate a flat but raise can’t be bad. I don’t like the sizing though. If you had AcXx would make it $45 here? Probably would flat or make it $85 because FE is your friend here. What about a set, would that go $45? No, would probably make it $85. What about a small flush, is that making it $45? No. What about a minraise bluff 6 ways on a monotone flop? Nope. Basically the only hand that is going to min raise here is the nut flush. I don’t love your sizing. If you want to raise please make it a size that can tell a story other than ‘I flopped the nutz and am min raising the world because i’m Milking you’.
