Curious to hear opinions on this hand.

1/2

180$ Effective we have both villians covered.

Our image is LAG, have only played 30 minutes but already 3bet once and a few cbets.

V1- Thinking player, 50s seems station-y

V2- ATC pre flop for any price. bad player

Our Hand-

AK

Straddle on Button.

1 Limper

We raise to 14

2 Callers.

Flop 637

V2 Checks
Hero Bets 22

2 Callers.

Turn 9

V2 Checks
Hero bets 45
V1 Calls after some thinking.
V2 Folds.

River 9

Hero checks. (thought of 3barreling for a little then opted to check)

V1 Bets 120~ and is all in.

I tanked for awhile really gave this some hero thoughts but folded and asked for him to show. I fold here due to still having a playable stack since I'm not properly rolled at the moment due to paying a school bill and I think he shoves flopped sets here but also shoves missed draws.

Thoughts? Will tell V1's hand after some posts.

Thanks

What did you give thoughts? Calling? lol that'd be so bad. Thinking player isn't calling down with like a bare Kh on a 4 flush board. He doesn't have a single hand that gets to the river that you beat like ever. If he does have like KhQd or something then you need to change your read from thinking player to monkey.

Jamming river might be good. How much history do you have with v1? What's he view you as? Or is it just this 30 min session?

With your current image though c/f is probably best. His range here is probably pretty strong. You'll be surprised how passive live regs are. He can definitely show up here with set ( fh ) straight, small flush, trips. I think the worst hand he shows up here with is something like TT with a heart.

Once he jams river he's probably got a flush or FH.

You can't ever call here, another barrel might have worked but you said he's a bit of a station. So, why are you trying to bluff a station? Make your hand then bet for value.

Short session he views me as pretty aggressive but I know when to fold obviously. And I meant by thinking player he isn't just in lala land hes actually here to play not necessarily to win. Seems like your typical rec player who just got off work but is thinking his **** through. I do like jamming river also.

Well if it's just this session and he views you as pretty aggressive and he's kind of stationy then it's easily a check fold.

Turn might even be a check since you have little to no fold equity vs these two players and the 9 isn't a great barrel card. That's another thread though.

I agree the 9 isn't a good barrel card on the turn but I was betting on the turn for value for hitting draws.

Long story short he showed

Got to rep the river in this spot 50-60 should have done the job. You can never call after you check tho.
