Well, we all know the most important thing of the game. If we play any unpaired hand we'll all miss the flop 60-66% of the time. Since the weak limping player relate their hand to the top card of the flop, “if they hit or if they missed” we have almost a sure win on our c-bets.

For example, if we have 65s in the HJ or CO and have a limper with AK in front. He’s got a way much much much better hand then us. We both will miss the flop 60-66%. If we have some “hit” on the flop we also have “equity-when-called”. If both of us missed the flop but we c-bet every time the checks we win that 60-66% when he got nothing. We win his preflop limp+call dollars. When he's got AK on a flop like Qxx, he’s looking at that flop and thinks he missed but we may have AQ, KQ, QJs, QTs or a Set of the other 2 x cards. He thinks we may as well have around 6 potential made hands on that flop. That’s the mentality of the limping weak player.

This is the thing what the late WSOP 1973 champion Puggy Pearson was referring when he always was saying that he knows how to beat any player in the world with his 60/40 play-concept. Well, here it is. That’s why we make money. Of course, other things are necessary in order to crush the game but this one is the most important deadly tool.

And, by the way, I'm about the same age like the great late Puggy Pearson. Same generation and I know few game-things of the old school. The games I play at the Commerce, and Vegas are all easy games nowadays compared with the 1970, '80 and '90 games in the West Texas and South. I might raise there with the 65s or A5s but I will never limp in any position. I didn’t limp because the players were extremely skilled. Too many of them who knew what a limp in any pot from any position meant.
