Neeme's VLOG Hand Confusion Neeme's VLOG Hand Confusion

Neeme is playing 2/5 and about 900 effective with the V, Chris Moneymaker

V in CO to 20, H BTN 65 AA, V calls HU
862 (135)
V x, H "downbets" to 50, V xr to 165, H calls
***H "puts his V on sets or 2p.

So why call?
5 (460)
V 275, H Jams
**H "wants to charge V for pair+draws"

Can anyone explain this dicotomy?

Tons of issues here and this makes me want to go back and look at his other vlogs and really look at how he is offering "strategy" advice to his followers...

Why did you call the flop if you put him on a set or two pair?

You could argue V would play 99+, 97, or TP this way, so calling is justifiable

Turn is complete spew and NUT WORST move. How does V ever have a pair+flush draw there all of a sudden now? Not only do you have the A and the most obvious draw came in (97), but the top card is also a club!

So you are saying V called a 3! OOP with 96 or 76 AND decided to XR those against a well-known TAG? Even his "bluffs" have decent equity, so we are shoving into a range that crushes us!

It's crazy to me that people watch lifestyle poker vloggers. Owen and Neeme have proven they are just ok poker players that offer little value. I would say it's -EV to watch their **** when there's so many more productive things you can be doing. They spend maybe a quarter of the video going over hands any bad player would win and the rest of the video is nonsense

I agree with everything you said. A lot of times, I'm sitting at home watching them on youtube and I'm thinking to my self "'i could be reading a poker book or studying Crushlivepoker, redchip or whatever." But we have to acknowledge, Neeme at least, has brought many people back into the casino that otherwise wouldn't be playing live cash. Me for example. Two years ago, I was in the middle of some life changes and satisfying my poker itch through some bar league donkey tournament poker and then I saw Neeme and was inspired to jump back into the fray.

His play actually makes perfect sense.

On the flop: he puts villain on a range of hands which contains 9 combos of sets and 2 combos of 86s, but also contains draws like 54s, 75s, 97s and T9s, and maybe the occasional overpair.

On the turn: many of these draws haven't yet gotten there (only 97s got there) and there's still overpairs to be up against, so he can still jam for value/protection. In addition to that, having the Ac is more reason to jam because Neeme is also going to jam hands like A3cc/A4cc/A7cc here as bluffs.

Wow. You prove the earlier point as to the type of player who respects these bloggers.

You are completely disregarding configuration and image here (which are a huge part of live poker). No way V raises then calls a 3! OOP to a known TAG/NIT with 54s or suited gappers. Those are insta mucks especially at these stack depths.

Vs range OTF is super nutted (Neeme acknowledges that but calls anyway knowing he is behind). V continues OTT, and Neeme still shoves because he has no idea what he is doing. Complete spew.

Also, if you put V capable of bluffing that many hands like T9 OTF (no reason to believe this V is capable of this, or any LLSNL V for that matter), then 3! Flop is the right move.

OK, so this isn't really confusion, it's critique.

Not that I disagree with you, but this really isn't valuable as strat. Feel free to post in the vid bloggers thread in LVL.
