Need some advice on my situation

The room I play at has been filling up with nits, not enough amateur players are showing up and the situation has been getting ridiculous. This is a 1/2 game. The thing is this the only 1/2 game available in my area. But there is a bigger game (5/5) where people tell me players are extremely loose and don't know how to play very well. They say people usually make $50 raises PF and then someones with 10J re-raises to 300. Only people with a lot of money play there.
The thing is, I only have 2500$ and the minimum buy in there is 300$. Should I give it a shot or is it too risky?

I'm a hypocrite, but I don't think you should give it a shot because you're seriously underrolled there. But hey, if you want to gamble... give it a shot. If you're there solely to make money... you want to go in with a lot more money, like $6k minimum.

You can't beat your local 1/2 game so you want to move up to 5/5?
We can't give you sensible advice because we don't know how good you are and we don't have much information about the games in your area.
