I play a live game with usually 5 or 6 guys including me. 2 of the players are really bad calling stations. They like to limp almost every hand prelfop and 1 of them is completely unbluffable. He has made many calls on the river with king high. I struggle in these types of games and I always have. I know the obvious answer is to value bet me good hands but I can't ever seen to make any good hands vs them. When I raise with strong aces or medium pocket pairs I have not hit a hand for weeks. So I need some other system to beat this game. Obviously if i do have a week where I hit cards I am going to get paid well. In the meantime when I don't hit cards should i just be limping tons of hands like they do keeping pots small and trying to hit hands? It seems my aggressive play is not working at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would just be more patient. Not be so aggressive when you have nothing. You will get good hands just be patient and get max value from them.

I understand but it's hard. It's 5 handed most times so folding a ton cost me a sb and bb every 5 hands. But I guess i can gold for hours. Just seems it would hard to make it up losing all those blinds 5 handed.

Cash game. We generally play 1-2 with a $5 straddle. So it's $8 each 5 hands. I can't sit back forever.

Whats the average starting stack?

It sounds like you're playing too tight. You don't need to wait for a "big hand" to value bet them to death with.

Don't be afraid to iso them with hands like QJo and value bet multiple streets with middle pair.

You didn't give enough details, but probably don't limp very much.

If the game isn't profitable just play at your local casino

The whole point is the game should be profitable. They are pretty bad but if i don't make any hands I literrlay have no chance to win. I am wondering if there is a better way the n showing aggression. Also this game is much closer to home. I have no local casino here

I raised every strong ace, most suited runners and all Broadway cards and lost just about everyone of them hands. I just seem to have a feeling that if i do t hit cards I don't see how i .can win here

Try 3 or 4 betting pre flop on the big blind

We can only give you broad, general advice. If you say you're already doing these things then we can't tell you if you're playing poorly or just running bad. I'd try posting some of the hands you played where you didn't flop complete air.

Raise pre with strong holdings, never c-bet air, value bet relentlessly when you have 2ndPGK+, be very patient when you have nothing, use the search function to see the many other threads we have on this subject.
