$200 NL

UTG raises to $20
One caller
I call 99
Two other callers after me

I can include some more specific reads, but I'm not sure they matter here. Everyone is pretty straight forward, two players are probably on the tighter side, two on the looser side preflop and probably are not making an excessive amount of moves postflop and I have a decently credible image. I feel like the initial raiser is giving up a massive amount of the time. Every stack is moderate, I think $150 is the smallest.

Flop Q 6 2 Pot $100
Two checks to me.

Check/bet/sizing/why?

I'll give more reads if you think it helps; but I'm not sure it does.

As UTG is pfr we can assume that he and the person who checked after him don't have us beat often (maybe one of them could have 1010/JJ), but there's still two villains behind us.

I don't think this is going to be a pot where we'll get more that 1 or maybe 2 streets. I'd probably check here and c/c of c/f to a bet behind us given sizing and what I thought villains bluffing frequency was. I'm betting the turn if it checks through.

Check.

5-way with 2 villains left to act.

If flop checks through, it's probably a spot where you just need to continue to check down and hope to dodge T,J,K,A. You might already be behind hands that don't fold (Qx) or hands that will often peel at least one bet (TT,JJ), and I'm just not seeing the benefit of betting to get folds from TT,JJ,Ax,Kx,Jx,Tx given the multi-way dynamics and your position (oop to 2 active villains).

SPR and stacks are also very unfavorable. Betting and getting called is pretty terrible. You can commit close to half your stack with a hand that has like < 10% equity. And once anyone calls a bet, it'll be almost impossible for them to fold later in the hand.

Not seeing any factors indicating anything except checking.

I would check here, but I think you have to bet the turn if everyone checks again.

Pre-flop let's say that the pre-flop raiser had a top 20% hand and let's say that the other three Villains have a wide range not including very strong hands, let's say a hand between top 10% and top 40%.

Preflop, in a five way pot, you have 27% equity; you're losing the pot 73% of the time.

This flop is below average for your hand and you drop to 23% equity; you're losing the pot 77% of the time.

You didn't believe your hand was strong enough to 3-bet, and you received a less than average flop, why would you be considering betting?

Preflop, you had a chance to take an aggressive line. If you're not going to be aggressive pre-flop, then waiting to receive poor flop, isn't the time to get aggressive.

I typed 2 responses and erased them both. This is really a tough spot.... My instinct is to bet $75 on this flop but if we do this and get raised, our price is too good to fold. We make so many mistakes by playing this way.

I think that we should play this simply as a set mine. Fit or Fold///// Check/Fold unless we hit a set.....
I hate saying this but I think it really is the correct play.

As played I like betting ~60 here and giving up if called.

Too many people in hand. Check and try to get to showdown cheap
