missed a bet? missed a bet?

1/2 9 handed

V started out seemingly competent but has quickly turned spewy, throwing in random x/r bluffs and calling almost every flop bet multiway. He has called almost every one of my preflop raises in position and my image is fairly tight. One hand I took it down with a cbet on a dry board, one time I cbet and gave up on turn, one time I fired flop+turn and took it down.

$220 H UTG+2 AThh makes it 10
$400 V SB calls
heads up

A74r 1 heart
V x
H bets 15
V calls

turn A
V x
H x

river J (no flush)
V 40
H ?

I dont know if he would call a decent sized raise in this spot with 79 type hands but we are under repped and the last time I checked the turn I had nothing. Is it a big leak if I just call? Is AT a 3 streets of value hand on this board?

I would just keep betting the turn, especially if it brought a BDFD. As played I’d shove river.

I figured I was going to get 2 streets of value max or be drawing to 3 outs so I checked to induce or get the bet in myself. Whats V going to call with here that I beat? 88 99 TT? K7? and all Axs.

I would think his range is heavily weighted towards a 7, 4, and a bunch of missed straight draws. I think the way V was calling me pf we could even put him on 85o/63s here. I block all his 2 pairs.

Im not saying youre wrong, Im just giving my thought process. The main thing is I have shown in this session that once I stop firing I dont have a good hand so I wanted to check a strong hand in a spot that V wasnt likely to have much and not have a pile of outs against me.

Any pair that called the flop is going to think it’s even less likely you have Ax now and should keep calling. 56 should keep calling as well.

A6/A5/A3/A2 is going to think it’s the nuts so you don’t want to miss a chance at max value. At the end of the day you’re barely 100 bigs effective so not sure why you’d really consider pot controlling here.
