Middle set vs solid player. How to get max value? Middle set vs solid player. How to get max value?

This hand happened yesterday 1 hour after starting the session. It left me really frustated because I know I could have extracted more value if I had played it differently

V1 (1200): 70 year old solid player. Winning player. Plays really solid, but is not aggressive. He likes to trap. I´ve seen him just call with JJ+ in position when I raise. He doesn't c-bet a lot but is aggressive with good hands. I've never seen him bluff when he gets to the river. Is very good at spotting tells. He once hero called me with middle pair when I over bet pot in the river with a missed flush draw (that happened about 2 years ago), since then I haven't try to put big bluffs against him

V2 (700): Mid 40 recrational player. Not important in this hand
Hero (650): Regular at the table. Very aggressive image. V1 has seen me do a lot of bluffs and aggressive plays in the past, but I try not to get out of line against him.

Hero is UTG and raises to 25 with QQ. V2 calls from mid position and V1 calls from the button. (I'm raising this big because people in this game play really deep and tend to open raise 20-35)

Flop(85): KQ7 (no flush draw)

Hero leads out 45, V2 folds and V1 thinks for a while and calls

Turn(175): KQ76 (2 clubs now)

Hero checks. V1 thinks for 5 seconds and then bets 125.

At this point I'm completely sure that V1 has Kx hand (AK, KQ, KJ, KT). JT, AT, AJ is not in his range because he is not an aggressive player, he would check behind with this hand

Hero check raises to 275. V1 tanks for a minute and folds.

What should I had done differently in the turn to get max value? I think that check raise was a little to strong (even for my perceived aggressive image). Should I had bet turn and bet river? Should I had check call turn and the lead on the river?

Given your image and history, I see no reason to check the turn.

I would barrel away on the turn and, since any K is essentially a bluff catcher by the river, overbet/pot+ the river.

Bet the turn is the best option. You do need to check the turn occasionally but not often. Check/raise is saying you have KQ+ and will fold out a lot of betting hands. When you do check the turn just flat his bet.

You don't need to push draws out if he won't ever bet them. When you take this line and a draw comes in on the river bet like you where bluffing, at the top end of your value range. If the river is a blank check and let him bet again. The point of this sort of line is too keep villain and bystanders from just betting into any hand you check.

Against a more aggressive opponent check/raise the turn sometimes to charge him for his draws.

You have an aggro image and a villain who probably thinks you are fos and has shown an inclination to strap on the hero cape against you.

bet/bet/bet so that you are all-in by the river. 60/160/shove

I agree with above bet/bet/bet in general.. but if you are going to c/r, you've gotta make it much much bigger. At least make it look like you *might* have a combo draw (would you ever put somebody on a draw/bluff at your sizing?). Also c/r bigger to force big draws to pay.
