Hi, this is my first post here. I have been playing poker on and off for more than 10 years. For the last half year or so I have tried to take it more professionally. I play mostly live 1/1 and 2,5/2,5. This hand is from 2,5/2,5 full ring game. I consider myself TAG and thus more thinking players give me respect for it which makes occasional bluffs work.

In this hand I'm in middle position with 160big blinds holding JTs (hearts). Preflop gets folded to me. I bet 7,5 and get two callers. One from late position (loose aggressive, with roughly equal stack to mine) and one from big blind (tight passive, with roughly 80bb stack).
Flop comes Ah, Qh, 7c giving me a flush draw and gut shot straight draw. Blind and I check. Late position raises to 40. Blind folds.

I put late position range to Ax, KQ, QJ, straight and flush draws and pocket pairs. Now that I think of it, the size of the raise might make the bet a so called "information bet". I call. I think since I typically play 1/1 I let the stakes affect my play a bit and I'm afraid to check-raise here.

Turn comes 8h completing my flush. I check to induce a bluff. Late position checks.

River comes 8c. I check to show continued weakness and induce a bluff. Late position checks. I manage to reveal my hand before him and he mucks his hand instantly.

Questions:
1) Is this a standard check-raise on the flop?
2) Given how I played the flop, is the two-street value inducing ever a profitable strategy?

For Americans: I think the commas are supposed to be decimal points. So he's playing $2.50/$2.50, which I've never heard of, but maybe it's a thing elsewhere in the world.

It's pretty egregious to check on this flop with a super strong draw after you raised preflop. You should be looking to barrel three streets hit or miss.

As played, you should bet the river after he checks back the turn.

This is a bad spot to check raise because not many villains will
bet into the pre flop raiser on this flop. You need to be tripple barrel leading 100% of the time. IMO if you took check raising out of your game completely you would do fine at live low stakes. This game is all about valuebetting with the occasional semi bluff sprinkled in.

What do you mean he raises to 40? Do you mean he bets 40?

Whats the pot size on the flop? According to my math it should be $25. In that case 40 into 25 is a pretty big bet, so I don't like a checkraise here.

Why not bet flop yourself?

As played, I'm betting turn and betting river for value too, an 8x boat seems pretty unlikely here.

Your afraid to checkraise because 2.5/2.5 are too high of stakes? Wow. If the amount of money your playing for is affecting your decisions or making you scared your playing too high.
