This concept was started in the Chat Thread. We were all watching LATB last night and thought, "Man, this show would be better with ILCD on it." We may have discussed this before, but it has become reality.

ITT we only discuss the stake and anything to do with it. If you are here to insult ILCD then GTFO. In fact I'll make it easy, I'll use the ban hammer.

If you are interested in joining the stake this is the thread. More details will follow. This will eventually turn into a sweat thread if we get him on, which I am currently working on. Right now we have some stake and we have the player. All we need now is the game.

The Arrangement:

As of right now I will escrow the money. Once the money pooled together I will either send it to ILCD or Mpethy has been kind enough to possibly drive it down to him. Mpethy driving it to him is the best plan and we hope that happens. Paypal is the most +EV way, but if you can't do that then there are other options.

The stake will work like this:

If he profits: He keeps 50% of the profits and we get the stake plus our profit % of the stake. (i.e. If we pool $1000 together and I put in $40 I will get 4% of the LLSNL 50% share plus my stake back.)

If he loses: We eat it. With sauce on it. But it will taste good.


We are not going to make him do anything silly. It's a stake to a live broadcast game that will be the most epic sweat in LLSNL history.

Might need to address session duration / limits / etc. - basically how long does stake go on?

IMO... Play til the cameras shut off! The stake is only for this game. Once the game is over he is done playing on our dime. If he wants to take HIS profits and shoot craps, w/e.

Right now we shoot for $5/5 and hope to get him 3BI's... if we get enough though we might be able to stake him in the 5/10

My thoughts...

--If he triples up then he should pick up. Just wise for him as this lets him get a nice jump on rebuilding his roll.
--I say when the show ends that night the stake ends.
--Go with the 5/5 game. Those are stakes he should be fairly comfortable with.

This is a one session deal for me. Play in the game on a predetermined night at a predetermined stake.

Win and he ships back the original stake + 50% profits
Lose and ship back all remaining money to Ace to be redistributed
Lose everything-then GG hope someone records it so that I can re-watch to get money's worth.

Will stick with $100 to allow more people to get in on the fun but will go to 500 if we're short or can get him into a bigger game.

I am currently looking at airfares for a trip to LA to rail in person...

If it wasn't for this dang furlough coming up it wouldn't even be a question.

Here is the problem I have with that. I pm'd Bart to see what he can do. I sold ILCD to him. Nothing but the truth of course. I would think they would expect ILCD to play the whole time unless busto. I would feel like a real a** if ILCD triples up first hand and leaves. I say play the whole session.

Any chance we can get this done for Tuesday's show? Pretty please?

Any yeah, it's gotta be the whole 3 hr session. Just nit it up if he wins big though, obv.

I am not sure how aware the players are of exact telecast start and end. I think we have to expect some leeway.

IMO why it is so important to have Mpethy there and we can leave it to him to call.
