Have to go through processing either the 24th or 25th. (That's basically getting my Nevada gaming license and fingerprints).

I then have nothing to do but gamble, gamble, gamble for about 3 days. Orientation is Sunday, May 28th. I think we are off Monday, May 29th and then it is 6 days a week, 10+ hours a day starting Tuesday. I have three days of partial training the first week. I will also be working most likely those days.

So, if I get through 29th with any money left, I should be good. LOL. Goal is to not lose but I have NEVER won my first session in my previous visits to Vegas. In fact, the first day has been hideously bad at least twice (granted, last year's shenanigans were my Day 1 IIRC).

Anyway, I assume we are doing to the chat app again, so I'll be checking every night to see what's going on. Depending on my exhaustion level, I 'll be around or be in bed.

I will try like hell to be off June 22 for the fun festivities.

Have booked at The Mirage this summer, wonder if that is good enough to get dah Slim approval. Was close between Aria and Mirage, but my travelbuddy was so damn keen on M so i didnt really have a choice

He lost $8.5k at 1/2 over a 15 month period, but he has been winning in the past 6 months so maybe he isn't that bad.

Not to derail the thread, but i have to say if that is true...... Then you have some serious serious leaks in your game, and is a losing player long term.

Most solid winning players can beat 1/2 games for a steady winrate almost blindfolded.

Clearly, but perhaps he plugged some of those leaks which is why I said maybe he isn't THAT bad (now).

My friends also wants me to go on roadtrip to LA and some other stuff wich i am also unsure of pr now, cause really i mainly want to get as much volume in at the cashtables as possible during the trip. sorry for the noob post - but any advice on finding decent hotel deals during the summer? thinking about going for a weekend. rates that im seeing for most weekends is like ~$140/night (pre resort fee/tax) for a hotel like Linq. Is this about right?

I know mlife offers "run of house" rooms or something like that, where you get a discount for taking whatever they have available at check-in. I've never tried it though. But yeah, weekends are always the high priced nights.

Saturday night rates are killer. That still sounds a bit high.

It sounds about right to me but I would shop around for weekend rates personally. It varies a lot based on the particular weekend. Below are the rates I am offered for the Linq on the weekends in June. I checked the prices at Trump Hotel for June 16/17 and I can get a room there for about $30 cheaper than the Linq that weekend (and Trump is much nicer).
