Little less than $20/day including gas, but I drove WAYYY more than that, and not just because of where my hotel was located. Rio-Strip like four times (yes there's a shuttle, but it's a PITA), out to micro-breweries all over Vegas, gun range, etc. Hell, I frequently drive from one end of the strip to the other when it's hot.

Everyone measures life EV differently, but the freedom of having a car is a huge bonus to me. I get one when I'm staying on-strip too, if my trip is more than three days.

Yeah, car freedom, vs the risk of the car getting damaged, are both factors.

So is being able to just *walk* to the Venetian and back on a moment's notice, since this year that was where the bulk of the interaction happened. And I just plain love the Venetian.

Although if I got an even better deal on a room at MSS, like if I were to stay two weeks and I'd be saving $500 or more by staying there...I'd be hard-pressed to turn that down.

OTOH, having a roommate would change the situation too.

If I have specific things I want to do off-strip, a car is worth it. e.g., day at Red Rocks, restaurant away from the standard places, Hoover Dam. But really it's not generally worth the extra aggravation of spending time in a car.

What are comps at Horseshoe like? I know CET gives out rooms like nothing for not a ton of play. You might need to sacrifice yourself to table games, but might be worth it.

Except when you play 15+ hours of craps. Then they give you ****.

C'mon bruh, give them a few days turnaround time. Comps'll show up sooner or later!

I don't play the Horseshoe--I was talking about the Blue Chip which is part of B Connected (as is Main Street Station). Basically the issue is how many hours of cash games it would take to get me up to a Sapphire level card. If Ruby gets me 15% off, I'm thinking Sapphire would get me more like 30% off--if not up to 50%.

I put off doing my TR for a while because I procrastinate at everything but here we go.

Arrived in Vegas on the 30th, got to my room at the supremely classy Riviera. Harrah's would have been my first choice since I had a good stay there last time but unfortunately it would have cost nearly three times as much this time 'round. I was pleasantly surprised with my room however! It was huge, and clean. However, there was a downside, and a big one -- hardly any noise insulation. This ended up being pretty frightening as for the first two nights, my neighbors were a pair of mentally ill women who believed witches were trying to kill them and seemed to spend most of their day in their room hysterically yelling about their delusions. I can't make this up.

Luckily everyone shut up at night and I was able to sleep well enough, but it meant that playing late and napping during the day was out of the question. I also wouldn't book there again as I'd have been kept awake if even one person on the floor decided to party at 1 in the morning.

The first few days I was there, I tried to eat with others as much as possible. It was awesome to meet everyone and you all ended up being much cooler than I expected from strangers from the internet.

1/1 night was the nuts, even being at the quiet table that never even played one hand of Indian poker. I regret not playing more dgaf poker -- I didn't think to do anything other than torture myself trying to play ~serious poker~ until the very last day when I tried 4/8 O8 and kept the drinks coming the whole time. Wouldn't you know, it was actually fun!

Beer pong was fun. While sitting out a game, I played one round of craps with Aesah. Hit and run for ten bux obviously. Ended up hitting the Ultimate Texas Hold'Em table for twenty later on, putting me up like $40 lifetime in the pit

Stay away from Fat Tuesday's. I went from "I can't even taste the liquor in this" to a hair away from spewing my guts into a mcdonald's trash bin in a span of about ten minutes. That ish is dangerous. Luckily ashes was there to get me some fluids and shove my ass into a taxi home. Hope the long walk back wasn't too bad.

Ran into squid on my last day and we went for sandwiches. Had a good chat about poker and life. B&E was rad as hell and needs to post more.

I regret spending as long as I did, because forcing myself to play after almost everyone else had left wasn't fun. I should have just stayed for four days and will do that if this happens again next year. It was a pleasure meeting everyone and I hope we do it again.

^lol ... trust my alcoholism bruh . We got frozen hurricanes and I immediately said "damn this drink is strong!" .. DK replies "really? i dont think so, i cant even taste it."

bout 30 minutes later he is face down in McD's and is only responding with thumbs up / thumbs down hand motions.

the walk back was cool actually , i realized i was walking past tacos el gordo so i had to stop there obv even though i litcherally just ate.

then when i am walking back, some guy in a suit lays down on the sidewalk in front of me like he has just given up on life. I'm like you ok bruh? He is super drunk and starts puking on the sidewalk. I dunno why but i waited around for him to finish and i gave him the same ON YOUR FEET SOLDIER motivational speech that i gave DK. I didnt want that guy to spend the night on the sidewalk like that. Some girls stopped and helped also and we got him in a cab and sent him on his way.

so im like the patron saint of drunk ppl

fyp. Fat Tuesday's guaranteed good time, as long as your intent is to get smashed. Also increases likelihood that Skippy finds a whale-resplendent game and forces you to sit and make manies. Pro tip: Make sure your autocorrect is in tune before going crazy on the FT. Pro tip 2: non-FT frozen drink are A LIE.
