NLH 2/5 10 handed. All 100BB+ deep

Buyin: $550

Game Plan: This game plays big. Lots of splashing, Loose Passive play. Big open raises and huge pots. I plan to be the Agressor, using my TAG image to POUNCE on the draws and weak players. I plan on playing premium hands, all PP’s and most SC aggressively, mostly in position. Going to make value bets, keep from doing less calling, more raising. Pick spots to bluff without fear.

What I’m hoping to accomplish with this thread

- Gonna give detail of hand with results
- Gonna give my in game thought process
- Gonna review hand and add my post play analysis
- Looking for feedback on applied strategy, concepts, terms, math, and thought process
*** The more honest the better...I want to instill my weaknesses/strengths into my brain so to maximize my sessions!!

Thank You

AQo utg3 UTG straddle 10, I bet 30, 3 see K2K, UTG chk, I CBet 80, UTG call, turn 9, UTG chk, I.bet 150, called, river A, UTG chk, I bet 150, UTG call with KJo
Stack now: $180

Lots of History with UTG Villian. LAG game, plays many hands strongly, tough player, hard to read, loud and always acting “false tells”

PF standard, my turn bet is too large, maybe make it 50, Turn I choose to double barrel to show strength, but since it’s a rainbow board, what he calling me with? River is nothing more than a bluff catcher for me…If that’s what you call it. Betting small for value, what not, hoping he puts me on AA, AK, KQ. I could argue I should just shove with 180 behind, making river bet 330 since the pot was already 560. That would have put more pressure on him for sure, but not certain he’s good enough to make that fold.

Truthfully I just got ahead of myself and the whole “Aggressive Action Thereom” This hand was early in game and there was no need to get myself in the hole on a bluff against gambling LAG. On the positive, I believe the $400 I spewed established a fearless image for me that I’m not to be messed with, not afraid to triple barrel, and be aggressive. I feel this hand will help me win many more pots later in the session.

*** $410 investment into image. I should've shoved river

AA utg2, bet 20, 5 way see 339r, I shove flop, CO call with TT
Stack now: $450

Standard Play, Just to show how I recovered loss

88 CO, 3 limp, I bet 30, 4 see flop, chk to me, CBet 80, SB call, rest fold, HU, turn SB chk, I bet 125, SB call, river SB chk, I shove, he folds... Board reads 642ssKA, no flush
Stack now: $710
*** I ask if he was on draw, said he had JJ

This hand was an example of me picking my spots, playing aggressive against weak villain and betting on cards that hit my range. If the River didn’t bring the Ace, I’m not sure I’d continue, I could be on FD, maybe my hand has showdown value

77 UTG, I limp, UTG1 bet 25, 3 way, CO and I chk dark, 7KTr, UTG1 Tino bet 80, CO fold, I call, I chk Blank turn dark, he bet 100, I call, chk dark, river J, He chks
Stack now: $885
*** should've CR turn or shove river. He had $250 behind

This villain is our table maniac, LAG, plays a lot of trash and is already on tilt from getting cracked by T4c that’s boated up: has already rebuy 500. I have never in my life checked in the dark and never thought it was a good play, fishy if anything, but can also be deceptive. I hit my set and plan on him paying me off. But I wasn’t thinking clearly and just checking dark. If I had slowed down. I should have maybe CR on turn, Donk shove the river….Either way I think I’m getting a fold. Or I could’ve bet small on river for value call. Either way, I left $$ on the table

AQo CO, call 35, HU with HJ , 37Qr, HJ bets 80, I RR to 160, she shoves 250, I fold.
Stack now: $685

*** I folded to fast, didn't get chip count to call, she had either KK or JJ or AQ, she pounded chips in frustration before shoving, maybe she thought I fast play a set??

Her large PF open leans towards TT/JJ, then bet pot for protection
$200 leak, should've folded PF, cause if I hit hand could be WAWB... Fold PF!!
This hand was a spew all the way. She’s opening 7x BB in LP with no limpers in front. She obviously has big PP she’s uncomfortable to play post flop. I say anything from TT+. I discount she has AA/QQ. I think my hand is a fold because if I hit hand I’m either WAWB, Info RR on flop was pointless.

A8c CO, limped 7 way, 55Jc, chk to me, I bet 20, UTG4 folds J face up
Stack now: $700

Not sure What he puts me on, but he obviously has weak J. I just using my position and picking up dead $$
06-30-2012 , 03:30 AM
A7s utg2, limp, 4 way, I bet 10, SB call, turn I bet 25, he RR 25 more, I call, river I chk, SB bets 80, I call, SB shows K8c... A7K2ccT
Stack Now: $785

I think play is standard all the way. I check river to entice bluff bet, which I get!!
06-30-2012 , 03:31 AM
76c HJ, 4 limp, I bet 35, 4 way, UTG2 chk, I CBet 80, UTG2 Tucker call, UTG2 donk bets 80 turn, I fold... 225ss3s
Villain Shows 4s
Stack now: $685

PF bet was to steal dead $$, mix it up, balance, Turn card brings too many draws in and I should just give up. Either way, I don’t think I should’ve CBet into 3 villains with Air
06-30-2012 , 03:31 AM
ATo BTN, bet 40, 4 way, chk thru, chk to me on turn I bet 80, UTG2 call, river UTG2 chk, I bet 125, folds 339Kcc7h
Stack now $870

This was a 10 straddled pot with 2 callers before me. My Bet PF is to steal $$, solid hand, position. UTG2 is solid Tight Passive but bets strong when hit, usually always pot. Once checked thru to me again on turn I figure good spot for delayed CBet. UTG2 calls, I squarely put him on FD, When river is blank, I don’t hesitate to fire.

Making this play is new to me… Old me would just give up, but this is the new fearless, agro, pouncer me!!
06-30-2012 , 03:31 AM
QJo BTN, bet 40, 4 way, 7TKcc, chk thru, turn 3, SB bet 40, all call, River blank, chk to me I bet 125 all fold
Stack now: $990

This was a very interesting hand and shocked I get away with it…The power of the BTN.

It was a straddled pot, so of course I’m playing marginal hand to steal dead $$. OESD on flop, you can argue I should Cbet here to protect against FD, but I have option for free card and don’t want to risk getting CR off my draw by a FD. The SB bet on turn looks like a middle pair or draw, everyone else is just chasing and I’m priced in too make call. By river everyone gives up and I use BTN to take down pot. Not really sure what THEY put me on…My slow played set or JJ/QQ, but I’d never slowplay a set like that, so they must figure I have pair other than K

Put in 6 hour session. Cashed out $960, Up $410

I calculated My VPIP was over 30% with first 3 hours. played A LOT of hands

I happy about the win, Yet I wasn't. I was very aware of my bad spewy plays and no I could've came out at least another $600 for the night. So the win was really a loss.

And thats the purpose of these threads... So you all can bash me and be ruthless, hopefully driving it into my head my weaknesses and strengths and so for the next session, I'll maximize my earnings!!

I'm happy I stuck to my game plan. and win or loose, I feel really good about that. I think I might've turned some heads tonight, been playing this at this spot for a year now and know all the players well.

Thanks for all your input!

LMAO. This is as far as I've gotten reading but this is some FUNNY STUFF. Keep 'em coming. LoLoLoLoL

BTW, I can picture the scene in my mind: when he calls the river bet I bet you jump out of your chair and slam down your cards on the table exclaiming victory to the high heavens.
06-30-2012 , 07:17 AM
It appears that you misplayed every single hand. Not sure why you are upset being up. You should probably never win.

BTW, which casino are you playing at and will you be there tonight? Thanks.

Tldr, but 'theycallmetight' may need to change SN to 'theycallmefish'
