I've really been thinking about this lately I think the reason I haven't evolved this aspect of the game yet is just due to need.

With my current play, I'm very selective and aggressive targeting pots and villains to dominate. If we view cards as "opportunities" then for me, I guess I feel I get enough "opportunities" in the way of SCs and suited gapers and broadway cards and top ten hands that I guess I just don't feel the "need" to widen my net to include 3-betting pure trash.

I think the more 5/10nl I play then the need to widen my 3-betting range may become apparent. So far over the past few months, I've put in about 150 hrs of 5/10nl for a decent winrate and haven't felt the need yet but I will look into widening my 3-betting range and see what aspect that has on my game. I'll slowly start to integrate that and probably start hanging out more in the mid stakes forum since I think this subject isn't that applicable to LLSNL. When I get up to around 500 hrs then hopefully I'll have a firm handle on 5/10nl and hopefully start to see some of the things you see and adjust accordingly.
