This is full-ring 1-1-2 game (1 on BTN).

V1 ($130, kinda fishy) opens to $5 UTG+1, Hero ($400) is in MP w AK makes it $15 (first sizing mistake? the table has been playing pretty passive w Hero doing well and playing a lot of pots). Folds around to V2 in BB ($400, regular who is often very laggy but seems to be playing mellow tonight) who calls.

Flop 3-ways ($45) AK8. V1 leads $40. H thinks and calls. Big mistake to not raise here? My thought process is I'm getting V1 stack here for sure. Board is kinda wet, H and V2 are deep and I thought perhaps just flatting could induce some kinda move from V2 or at least let him come along for another street to get some more val from my top 2. V2 calls. I figure V2 has a lot of spade draws in his range here.

Turn 3-ways ($165) AK8T V1 Shoves ($75)

So now it is on hero pot is $240 it's $75 to call and H and V2 both have $345 behind. Hero?

I think we should raise flop because while a call might guarantee V1 puts his money in, we don't want V2 to get a great price to draw to a flush or a straight. Make it 120 to go.

AP turn, I prefer a call. Shove is huge here and it's hard to get called by worse, especially against the described V2. If a LAG is playing mellow that usually indicates he's been losing, and I think if he had a strong enough draw to call a turn jam then he wouldve been more aggro on the flop. I don't think a turn jam accomplishes anything so I like a call but I could be wrong.

Pfrr bigger. Calling flop is fine, you're slowplaying and it's a strong bet. You could stick some raises in there also if you do the same w draws or combo draws.

I'd raise turn and commit.

It's a tough spot on turn because of stack sizes, which is what makes me think PF sizing is bad and/or a flop raise is much better. I agree that AP raising turn is kinda overplaying at this point, but if we flat and V bets, can we ever fold? It's gross...we've under rep'd our hand, V is aggressive enough to bet turn w AT or KT and would possibly get to turn w some combos those. Set of 8s might have raised flop. We lose to TT or QJ, but TT might not always call flop. Calling flop w QJ is a little risky considering not all outs are clean. Still quite a few flush draws in that may have picked up additional equity on turn.
