Playing 1-2-3 at my local cardroom. Just sat down, so no real reads. Main villain is a 40-year-old Asian man. I have $300 and both villains cover me.

Checked to me in MP and I open to $10 with AK . The main villain on the button and the big blind call.

FLOP (~$30): Q82 — checked to me and I bet $20. Button and big blind call. I thought this was a good flop for a cbet. Once called twice, I was prepared to give up. But....

TURN ($90): Q82A. I bet $50. The button shoves. Big blind folds. Hero?

Would love thoughts on all streets. Should I be checking this turn? Do I call the shove?

When you were going to bet the turn, you have to ask yourself if someone could call with worse, and the answer is yes. I'm OK with a bet here even though a lot of people like to check it, although your image here is important (in this case you don't have one). Against randoms I'd probably check the turn. When I have a loose/aggressive image, I'd probably bet it.

However, once you bet, is it likely that someone floated the flop with a hand like AK/AJ/AT/A9 (AK may or may not 3b pre) and then raised you instead of flatting? The answer is almost certainly no. No draws landed on the turn to give V any increased equity on a hand that floated the flop so you're basically putting him on a complete air bluff if you call here. 88, 22, AQ, A2s, A8s, maybe even A8o, are all in V's range and would likely flat the flop. You're ahead of very very few combos. I fold this, yes.

I would check that flop, mainly because I think AK has decent sdv, and there's not a ton of turns that we're going to wanna fire a second barrel on. As played I like the turn bet, but I don't think his turn raise is ever a bluff, seems like an easy fold to me.

You can’t call the shove, it’s a fold. Too many garbage ace combos in his range as well as ace queen.

I guess 99,1010 and JJ can call your turn bet but honestly I don’t think there’s that much worse that’s calling you again on the turn. Maybe it’s a check call here and evaluate river but you need more info on villain.

If you folded turn it’s fine as played.

There's all types of Qx hands that can call a turn bet at a 1-2-3 game.

I advocated checking but I don't think a bet is terrible here by any means.
