Hero: Good session so far, I'm up $300. My stack here is $500.
Hero just lost 70 dollar pot to short stack with AA vs. 4/5 offsuit.
Table is wild, hero's image is tight.
Villain is loose but not a huge gambler post flop.
MP player limps for 2, Lowjack limps for 2
Villain raises to 12 in small blind, Hero calls 12 in big blind. Hero has 10

MP and LJ also call.
Pot is $48
Flop 10

Villain bets 10
Hero reraises to 40
MP and Lowjack fold
Villain calls 30
Pot is now $88
Turn is J

The flush got there, Broadway got there. I have a set.
Villain bets $100.
Hero???

We really need to 3bet this pre, especially since we have position on the raiser. Lost some value there.

Flop is fine, id raise to 45-50.

Ott, obviously not a good card for the reasons you mentioned but we cant go anywhere. We have a redraw to a full house (23%) so with the possibility that we could still be ahead, plus the chance that he pays us off otr if we fill up, we have to call. Not very close

FYI: you didnt reraise on the flop. You only raised. Also, the pot has $128 on the turn, not $88 (there was $48 preflop and you each put in $40 in the flop).

I'm okay with 3betting if by "wild," you mean loose and stationy. If you mean they're very aggro, I like flatting.

Raise a little more on the flop. Then you're probably calling turn, especially if you think straights and flushes will pay off river boats.

How much did the villain start the hand with?

river was a 4 of spades, he checked, I checked. He turned over Broadway which shocked me. He called the extra 30 with AQ and four outs. No hearts. Had I jammed I might have won.

dang just tried to edit this but could not. Great point there $128 that's right. I guess I should have gone all in on the flop but in these situations sometimes I get no calls.

If the river was a 4 of spades your 10's full would beat broadway, I hope you didn't muck.

man, they don't give you much time to edit on here that's what the river was which means my initial post was wrong. It was a 2 of clubs not a 4 of clubs on the flop. My apologies.
