This was a wild game before Hero sat down. The hand before I sat there was a four way all in. Two players left thereafter. No regs. This is my first orbit. I'm at $200. I don't know most of the players at all. Hero has 9

on the button. There are four limpers to me. I call on button. SB folds, BB checks.
POT $13
FLOP 8

UTG bets $10
Everyone calls the 10. The pot is now $53. Do I raise to 50 or so? Should I call?

Raise $80/jam all turns seems like a good play. Or just rip it in now.

Can’t really go wrong either way.

If you just wanna play small ball low variance poker you could just call and see what develops and raise if you get there. Problem with so many callers in limped pot is your spade outs may not be good, so raising to get those to fold would be a nice outcome.

I'm definitely raising here, the question is just how much. The stacks are a bit awkward here. $50 is OK, but bigger flush draws are likely never folding, and we really don't want to hit a spade on the turn and end up drawing to a 2-outer. At deeper stacks I'd be good with raising to $50 and playing cautiously on a spade turn.

With these stacks, I don't hate just shoving all-in now. We have good equity against any single hand that calls us, the only way we're in bad shape is if the pot goes multiway. The best way to prevent that is to shove. Do it.

Wouldn't mind just jamming, if we raise to $60 we may get higher FDs to come along and we can be drawing pretty thin. When that many people call it's very likely someone has a higher FD, and we have a decent amount of FE vs say Q high FD, J high FD, etc. They might not fold A high FD (they will sometimes).

Pre is good imo, dont like an iso raise here tbh

Jamming the flop is awkward. Part of the issue is that our hand is pretty much face-up as either the A-high flush draw or a combo draw. If the ace high flush draw is out there, and villain is a competent hand reader, we are getting snapped off in bad shape. I would raise to 75 and jam the turn. We can get value from top pairs. There's some danger in flush-over-flush if the spade hits on the turn, but this is going to be a pretty rare event. If we get called by a better flush draw, more likely than not the spade will brick on the turn, and the player will be forced to fold to our shove.

Yeah i think raising to 70 and shoving all turns seems good, probably little better than just shoving

I've seen so many Vs go bonkers with flopped sets and 2p on drawy boards, so I don't automatically draw the same conclusion as you when a player jams the flop in a multiway limped pot.

But I agree raising big here is somewhat better than jamming because we should be doing the same thing with our made hands to charge the draws.
