Hi all!

A point to clarify before I start describing the hand - this is not technically in a live game.

The last couple of weeks all the casinos/cardrooms in my country have been running games on the 'Pokio' app. You need to be a vouched for member of a card room/casino to sign up and play and they play VERY similarly to live games (50-400 BB buy ins, vast majority of players play like live players etc). Because of how the game plays I thought it would be ok to post here - if mods feel it would be more appropriate elsewhere feel free to move it.

Some context: I sat down ~5 minutes ago at this 6max NLHE game. I know 3 guys at the table very well and have never played with the other two (including villain in these hands). I bought in for 400.

Literally the hand prior to the one I want to discuss, this happened.

Hero opens to 8 UTG+1 w KQ
Villian (unknown, stack ~500) 3bets BB to 28,hero calls.
Flop AJT
Villian bets 35 Hero raises 85 Villian folds AK face up

OTTH:

Hero opens JJ UTG to 8
Villian 3bets to 30 from SB.
Hero calls
Flop (62) 236
V bets 35 hero calls
Turn (132) 3
V bets 100 hero calls
River (332) 9 villian shoves (280 effective) Hero folds.

Would appreciate thoughts on all streets!

I would just fold the turn. I do this as a population exploit in general, but especially versus this guy I am.

Villain sounds like a competent TAG. Yeah you played hand 2 fine.

fold turn. We could be drawing dead and are likely drawing to two outs vs this guy.

This guy would probably x turn with the naked Ac

Ah, maybe so. The AK fold itself wasn't necessarily bad but folding it face up made me question how competent/experienced a player he was.

Yeah I think in retrospect I agree. Seemed a bit too nitty to me at the time (convinced myself he might have Ak with a club or something) but on reflection I should have folded turn.

At the time I convinced myself that he'd bet Ac but I think you're right on some thought.

Agree I should have folded turn, thank you!
