Somewhat interesting pre-flop action last night playing 1/1 and want to get some opinions, particularly about the final decision.

V1 is a solid regular, always buying in for at least ~300bb's and isn't scared to apply pressure. V1 covers.

V2 is celebrating and playing for fun at the table, has been playing very LAG and bluffing at almost any opportunity. V2 has just been nearly stacked the hand before and only sits with 30bb's in front of him. This exact same situation happened about an hour ago where he basically blind shoved any two cards with 25BB's before reloading his stack when he lost it.

Hero image is young white guy, wearing a hoodie. Played about 40 hours this month at this casino so starting to become a little bit recognised but probably not perceived as a reg but i havn't gotten out of line and shown down strong holdings. H has ~150bb's

OTTH:
Folds to V1 in the CO who raises to £6
H looks down at AQo in the SB, flat calls. I'm 90% sure that V2 is going to come over the top and shove, and my initial plan is to reshove over any flat call from V1.

V2 does indeed insta jam for £30

V1 snap shoves and covers H

Hero?

He trapped first. Let him have it.

Ya don't mind the flat if you know V2 was going to shove pre, but I let it go now

If V1 was extremely strong here though i'd have expected him to flat and play a pot vs me IP though?

Why should he play you? You're good. It's easier to isolate the celebrating victim. Fold and watch the show.

You're at the top of your range here when you flat the 6; solid regular is capable of recognizing how wide this guy is shoving with , it seems pretty obvious the way that you described it

I don't think it's a stretch to say that most of his CO raising range is coming over the top here given the dynamic

I like a call here tbh , he want's isolation, deny him of that , he has much more combos than AK and QQ+; very hard for you to be dominated here, **** this guy, stick it in

This was basically my trail of thought. I'm massively under repped and based on his tendencies, i think he expects me to get out the way here almost all the time and therefore will be shoving wide, and including hands that i actually dominate.

Absolutely! But I prefer that you play him in position with AQo.

Folding based on description of villain as solid regular. Even though its a slightly weird line.

As played....

Came to the conclusion i was way under-repping my hand and this guy's capable of putting pressure on and leveled myself into a call.

V1 ended up having AJs and V2 pocket 5s
