SB is young guy and likely to be a pro as he usually plays higher, is very often in the poker room and seems to know many people around the poker room. He has only been at the table for about 1 orbit
SB would not know hero and have not played together
Hero is a 30ish white guy with glasses

Both stacks are around $430

Hero raises to $15 after a limper in CO with KQ
SB raises to $55
Only Hero calls

Flop ($116)

K46

SB bets $40. Hero calls $40

Turn ($196) 9

SB bets 230

Fold pre to the 3b, not deep enough unless you know V 3b light and you plan on getting it in when you make a pair. Have to give V some credit when 3b the SB to a relatively large size that sets up playing for stacks. Flop call is fine, fold turn. Yeah V might show up with QhQx or JhJx or AhQx sometimes here, but you're just too far behind AK/AA/KK without having any redraw, and that assumes he'd play those weaker hands this way. You have something like 25% vs that range and if we take out the weaker hands you have like 20%

awkward sizing of bets for V to be a pro

but easy fold on turn

I fold pre and this situation is why, we flopped quite good but hate life when our opponent wants to play for stacks. As played you have to call the tiny flop bet. Turn is a trivial fold IMO, looks to me like he mostly has a hand that beats us but doesn’t want to see another heart. AK, KK, AA can all play like this, if he has A5cc gg I guess.

I think raising preflop is likely fine here. Unlike most others, I now also think overlimping is fine too. I would fold to the reraise. The good thing we have going for us is that we have position. The bad thing we have going for us is that we're going to be up against the best player at the table and he just 3bet us out-of-the-blinds (so unless he's picking on us and what *may* be a light open situation there is also simply a good chance we're dominated).

The SPR is 3 on the flop and we have TP. If we're calling preflop we must think this guy could be 3betting wide so he doesn't always just have AA/AK/KK here. In which case he's betting fairly small on a drawy board and possibly giving himself good odds to draw to his 4flush. I likely just jam if I get to this spot and live with the preflop result.

Flop/turn is kinda why preflop is so meh. We've hit pretty much as good as can be expected and yet we're still hating life.
