1/2 $4 UTG straddle, 8-handed
$300 effective, V has about $700 because he's on a heater
V is early 30's white male
Table talk has been that he's been on a heater and a player complains he's getting lucky. I get the feeling he's feeling good and taking flops. He's more aggressive than your typical 1/2 loose passive

V calls 4 in UTG+1, I raise to 20 in cutoff with KK, folds to V who calls

Flop (49, button has to post 2 as a blind in this game)- 356

V checks, I bet 25. V raises to 60. I call

Turn (169)- J

V bets 110

Hero??

Pre seems fine, you could argue to go even larger like 25-30 if the table is really callinghappy. But 20 is fine as a default size with the straddle.

I am tempted to 3 bet ship the flop to be honest,as i feel we have the best hand a big percentage of the time and if this guy (fish?) is on a heater he may stackoff lighter than we expect on this kind of board. We also hold the two red kings, so all the flushdraw combos is out there.

As played i am shipping the turn over his bet. Brickiest card in the deck-we coudnt ask for a better turn really.

I'd go bigger on the flop, you'll get calls by 77-QQ and all flush draws, something close to pot. AP, when V 3!s to 60, I think you can shove or call and just keep calling his bets as there should be a ton of semi-buffs/OP to board that V feels confident with. It's quite sad when V shows up with a set here, but it is what it is. If you were deeper, you could think about folding on rivers if V shoves, but since it's $300 effective, prepare to marry that KK.

Flop bet is a little small. Your at SPR 6 with a good over pair and an OK flop. Your goal here is to get all of your money in. $30/$35 on the flop would be better.

As played call his flop raise, you don't want to blow any bluffs or weak draws he might have out yet. Shove turn over his bet unless you think he will bluff shove into you most of the time on the river.

In my games, $20 pre is too small, but if that's the norm, I get it. I would have gone $25- $30, especially vs. this guy who likes to see flops.

Yes, just shove now. It sucks when he has it, but there are a lot of cards you don't want to see on the river if he is betting draws.

Would be nice to know how his "heaters" have been happening.

Idk I'll make a case for the flop bet being fine. This kinda board texture should be much better for V's range than H's. H should be isolating a pretty wide range from CO but all the nutted hands are going to be skewed towards V's range based on how he's described by OP as taking a lot of flops and being on a heater. Like it's legit feasible for V to show up with **** like 74s and 63s, not to mention all the random ass 45x, 57x, and 67x hands that aren't nutted but have your range crushed anyway. Generally good idea to scale bet sizes down if you're at a range disadvantage. Bias off tho, I don't think it matters that much tbh...just giving an alternate perspective.

As played ship turn, you'll be surprised at what V shows up with calling your push.

I just call. River is an offsuit 6, pairing the board. Gets checked through and he shows K4s. Flopped a flush draw and OESD. I regretted not shoving turn.
