I've gii with KK bad enough times to know the spots it is possible to fold it. BB vs UTG deep with tight players in both seats is the one time I'm really totally happy giving it up. That and Old Man Rock types wanting to gii pre are frequently AA and nowt else.
The rule of thumb to never fold KK preflop holds for most other situations though.
