2/5 NL Vegas

Hero has a good image and a stack of $700
Villian is a reg and well respected.

Hero has K

in EP and limps with the intention of 3!
Villian in HJ raises to 20, We 3 bet to 65 and Villian calls.

Flop: 9

(Pot $130)

Hero bets 85, Villian raises to 150, We 3! to 380 and Villian shoves his remaining stack which he me covered.

Easy call right?

Our range is pretty much capped at AA from our l/rr pre, V 4! Shoves on the flop. Pretty easy fold imo

Your limp/raise isn't enough. $45 to call gives villain easy odds to set mine. If you want to limp/raise make your sizing abusive, something like $100.

Limp/raise often doesn't work when stacks are deep because of situations like this. It's a move for short stacked aggressive and/or loose tables where there is likely to be a raise and multiple calls or a raise and reraise after you.

As played you have to figure villain for over playing QQ or having a bunch of diamond draws in his range for a call to be good.

+1 or even $125. At least don't give him great odds to try to outflop you.

I hate the limp/rr, but if you are going to do it, go higher.

I don't think you can 3bet the flop and fold. Will V do this with QQ/KK or diamonds or only AA or a set?

Gah, I didn't realize we were only 700 deep. That makes this spot closer, which kinda blows.

255/1400 = 18%

KK vs {99,33,22,QJdd,JTdd} is 18%

I'm not sure you can 3! The flop here and really ever expect to fold unless you know he only has sets here.

I guess this kinda explains why we shouldn't l/rr and follow that up with a bet/3! On **** boards

Raise pre first time around. If you're going to l/rr then you need to go bigger, $85-125. Narrow his range, reduce SPR. Can't fold this flop after you put in $440 already. Even if he has a set you're almost getting odds to call.

Key West is by far the best Island that will meet all of your needs. Drinking, Doving, Fishing, Nightlife, etc..
