effective stacks around 200
villain-around 200
hero-had him covered
hero-had been at the table for about an hour. had been playing tag and only showed down one or two hands, no bluffs.
villain-was playing loose preflop but tag postflop. when he did have a hand he usually overbet the pot. I didn't see him show down a bluff. I thought he was playing pretty straightforward poker. I didn't get any information on how he handles aggression, because he was the agressor in the pots I saw him play.
villain is utg and limps, three other limpers to hero in sb who raises to 17(average pre raise was 10-12). villain and one other player calls.
Flop come jspades,10diamonds,8hearts rainbow
I lead out for 35. villain calls and other player folds.
turn 7 spades
hero- ? (I know the 7 completed a lot of draws, but a check is pretty much giving up the pot. Also, since I raised from the small blind preflop it could look like I'm double barrelling with ak, or aq and get looked up by a jack, especially jq. And since he's not lag postflop he's not likely to turn a made hand into a bluff. But since the board is so scary check folding doesn't seem like a bad option either. What are your thoughts?
