KK cooler or bad play? KK cooler or bad play?

1/3 straddle 5 H 2000 V 500
2 limps
H LJ KK 25 open
V Bb 75 3b
H calls

Flop 975 2 clubs H doesn’t have K of clubs
V cbet 100
H shoves for eff 400
V calls and show down AA

This specfic villain is on the tighter side but also would commit here with qq/jj.I am flatting his 3b pre only to get him to stack off.
Maybe I am result oriented, but is there any way that is better just to call the flop?

You had a plan for your specific vilain, it worked.
You are ahead of JJ+ on this flop.
Well played.

ETA: I would prefer flatting flop and letting him hang himself. By shoving, you might get JJ-QQ to find a fold

I would raise more pre. As played def cooler. I personally prolly would have 4 bet and stacked off pre but your play is solid.

I just noticed this is 1/3 and not 2/5. Sizing is good actually. Just a cooler situation. You didn’t play this incorrectly. Villians spr is under 3 so I’m fine stacking off here with 2nd best overpair. Bad luck.

I did had a plan.I am being result oriented as it kinda hurts to catch him in top range.

Don't think you played it wrong.

I don't mind the flop shove because of the two clubs - it looks like you could be drawing.

Also okay to call flop and shove turn.

The deeper stacks get and the more nitty reads we have on the Villain (and Villain on us), the less of a cooler this is.

What's our image? After a straddle and 2 limps and us being in MP, if we have a tight image we shouldn't be getting too out-of-line here at most tables (at least the loose ones I play at). So when someone 3bets out-of-the-blinds $500 deep (which is a decent stack in my 1/3 NL game that ain't thrown around easily by most) it's kinda a gross spot.

In the end, it's AA vs KK, so obviously coolerish. And I've only folded KK twice preflop in ~4200 hours. Definitely not saying we should do that here, but depending on our image / his image / and these stacks, it's something that should at least be partially considered. But mostly we'll probably just have to take our lumps, especially if he'll commit preflop with QQ/JJ (which, for the record, I don't believe for a second that most opponents do this deep but obviously our image plays into that).

Yeah I'm on board with the idea here, well played, just a cooler. Anytime you get AA vs. KK it is just unfortunate. In some spots versus some opponents you can get away from it but here I'm stacking off.
