Hi all,

Just played a session up in Cleveland.

Curious about the following hand.

Reads: V is tight but aggressive when he plays hands. Saw him fold 10 10 on a J J 2 board and he claimed the man had pocket jacks for quads (he did).
No other real history on him.
Hero is seen as tight by the whole table one lady actually makes a comment I only folded because he hasn't played a hand in an hour.

OTTH: Hero (145) is in HJ. One person limps hero has KJ and raises to 13. Villain is on the button and flats. Blinds fold. Original limper folds (33).
Flop comes K25. Hero bets 25. Villain raises to 70. Hero? (I was in the tank for awhile and Villain is constantly chatting and saying just fold man it'll save you some money and i'll show if you fold)

You are pretty short for 1/3. If you are gonna play that short not sure if be raising KJs.

On flop his range should be hands that crush you and hands with big draws that you are 55/45 or 50/50 with, like A4/A3dd. Given how few combo draws he should have here and how many hands he could have that crush you, I'm probably folding. If you were deeper you could peel and see how he reacts on turn, see if you hit a club.

I think with less than 50bb to start... when we raise, hit TP and cbet - we are pretty well committed to the hand. Push all in and hope he's on a FD. (The table talk would further encourage me to call).

With a fairly small stack I wouldn't mind overlimping here. Raising sets us up to be immediately committed for stacks if we flop TP, and we might not necessarily be pumped about that.

The SPR is 4 and we've flopped TP on a somewhat drawy board. We made our bed preflop and now we have to sleep in it, imo. I'd PSB the flop to shove the turn and I'm not folding.

As played, how much do you trust his table talk? Some people are surprisingly honest with their table talk (they are confident they have the best hand but want you to fold so that you don't suck out on them).

I'm not folding TPGK with some draws out there for <50BB and an SPR of 4. He could easily be trying to take advantage of your tight image with a semi-bluff, or even a pure bluff. I'm shoving all day.

Top up and witht his short stack get it in. He could raise flushd raws and worse Kx, but might as well have you crushed.
