Was at my regular neighborhood game. $1/$1 7 handed, action is really loose.

My image to these regular is fold or fit on flop. Very tight and quiet character, seldom bluff and always has the goods when I go showdown.

Previous few hands ago I did a 3 bet and was shove by a tight player with QQs and beat his AK.

I picked up KK at BB table was straddling at $4 to me I raised to $27 on top of straddle all folded except villain on button called.

Stack size $350 equally even. Villain is a thinking player who just did a stone cold bluff on me early in the session and was called down by the player behind me.

Flop $80(roughly)
6d7s7d

I bet out $21. Villain raised me $25 on top of my raise. Thinking that he is trying to bluff and remove me from this pot or he has a lower pockets or trying for a flush draw, I re raised him $55 on top he tanks he called.

Turn
10s

I bet out $75. He shoved. Sensing he might be on a flush draw I called.

Bad play here ?

Im assuming your goal with that $21 dollar bet was supposed to induce a raise? I would like to bet a bit more to keep my c-bet/value bet balanced as Im not sure you bet that small with a c-bet. But given Vs line, it seems like he either knew exactly what you were doing and played optimally with a hand like A7 or 66 or he was on a flush draw. Either way as played, you should call.

Ugh... You bet/3bet the flop, got called, and now he is shipping over your turn bet? One pair is good here like almost never...

Also, You should include the size of the pot and bets better. The $25 on top of $35 on top of $XX is more difficult to follow and to determine our calling odds OTT I have to go back and add everything up myself.

Pot OTT is roughly: $280 and you guys both have ~$230 behind... you bet $75 and he raises all-in.

So its's ~$165 more to call into $75 + $75 + $280 + $165 = $585

$585:$165 = 3.5:1

So we need to be good here 1 out of 4.5 times or approximately 22% of the time. I doubt that Villain is bluffing here or playing a flush draw in this manner. Kinda gross. Were getting good odds on a call but are almost never good. I'm also now realizing that you basically didn't include the pre-flop action... Did Villain just call the straddle? Where was the straddle? This info is relevant. TT and 89 just got there OTT, but we can't construct a range well because we don't know what Villain did pre-flop. As played this is probably a fold unless Villain is an absolute maniac.

You should bet betting bigger everywhere though. Flop bet should be $50, and if you going to play you hand in this manner, 3bet you bet bigger and you turn bet should be all-in.

Firstly I don't like the 3bet on the flop because nothing you are beating is calling. Second, after you raise the flop and he jams turn he should know you are strong and thinks you will pay him off. Anything else is just you leveling yourself into thinking you are being bluffed.

I think that if he raised with a flush draw he would be at least calling the 3bet for $55 more right?
