limped around 5 handed. me $300, villain covers with $900: hes been playin pretty loose, but stacking people with the goods alot of the time.

i have kc8c BB i check.

flop: Ac 2c 3d

check, i bet $10, guy next to me ups it to $25

hes been pretty active seeing alotta flops, but he knows what hes doing, folds to me

i choose to make the call instead of raising, i figured he woulndt be raising a limped pot unless he had something good? there was still 3 players behind him to act.

turn 9h: i check call $25: thoughts on this? is raising spew? i pretty much was priced in for a call, figured calling was best.

river: 7h: so i missed, just check/fold is only option now i guess? i check and he fires $25 i debated about raising all in, but i figured he had a pretty good hand and woulndt muck.

can i get some thoughts on how this hand played out. did i play my hand wrong in any spots? should i have been more aggressive? thanks.

He has shown strength on 2 streets, and the river does not scare him in the slightest--he will call an all-in, and your only option is to c/f the river. He is defending against the flush on the flop, IMO, and to do so means that he likely has a hand worth protecting.

The only time I would ever c/r on busted draw on the flop is if I were called on 2 streets, I were the aggressor, and my read on the villain is that he is a thinking player capable of finding a fold.

In c/c mode, a dry flop is essential to the c/r river bluff, as a villain can look you up with the justification of a missed draw.

i c/f river. given villains bet sizing and loose tendencies, w/ NFD i think we have implied odds to flat the turn as you did. wp

played 3 hours last night, lost this pot as my only "big" loss. lost the rest to the blinds. won 1 pot the whole night, and it was only $6 and the blinds pre. this was the most interesting hand i had all night lol

very uneventful night -$45 on the night

heading back there tonight, hopefully i get dealt some hands.

so, basically this hand played itself? wasnt really anything i could do to win it, i know for a fact if i hit this dude woulda paid me off on a $75 bet.
