Hi all,

Need some advice on this 1/3 game situation

V is new to the table he is the effective stack with 350 and straddled to 10 UTG he has been here like 30 mins and showed down Quads.

OTTH: I’m on the button and it folds to me and I raise to 25. He is the only caller.

Flop is Q 10 9 rainbow. He checks I bet small (20) and he calls. Turn is a K and he bets 50 we call.

River is another K and he bets 100.... we should?

Call and prob expect a chop. No sense in raise, as he only calls with FH.

Raise to 40 preflop and probably call off a shove (subject to reads). Were you raising small thinking its more likely to induce a 3bet?

Flop and turn action are fine.

Call on river. KQ, KT, K9 got there.

I don't think its worth reraising the remaining 155 to fold him off a chop or AJ (we have two of the Js!). But if you put him on a range of hands the math is easy to work out.

I would expect to see some air in villain's range.

Agree with raising to 40 pre. Have to think of this as a 1/3/10 game and straddler is usually going to think button is trying to steal straddle light.

Call on river, there are enough chops here vs number of boats to make it worth it.
