Hand is played well. If you can find fold on river. Generally you don't want to put half your stack in middle and fold. But this is 1 instance where it is perfectly fine.

Should he have missed. You would have gotten max value. There are some rivers like an Ace where calling is much closer. But 10 is just an easy fold.

Think we can safely check call alot of rivers. And a few we can bet for value.

If instead we had gone $55 on this flop (which is fine in a 4way pot), then pot would be $280 on the turn with effective stacks of $330 for fish and $285 for V, and we could just shove for value.
I think we are beat.

I have never been happy with my life whenever I have over pair and the top board card pairs on the turn or river. YMMV.

And so I can't help but raise an eyebrow at the cheerful message that we could have bet more on prior street(s) so we can "shove for value" when we are pretty much dead meat in this situation IMHO.

Just my 2c worth.
