J6s OTB, flush draw, facing check-raise J6s OTB, flush draw, facing check-raise

Taking another shot at 2/5 because I shouldn't have two bad sessions in a row, right? Same casino as last time.

The table is mostly loose-passive except for villain who seems pretty active pre but still very fishy. I've seen him open J5s OTB and limp multiway with J4o.

I played one big hand against him where I called his LP open OTB with AJo, flopped AK7r, called his c-bet, turn J, he check-called $75, and an ace on the river where he check-called a $135 bet and claimed he had a straight although he didn't show.

He has about $450 and I cover. I haven't been playing very many hands at all and aside from the AJ hand haven't shown anything down. I've been unusually quiet and I don't think anyone has played with me before.

Two limpers and I raise OTB with J 6 to $20. One of the blinds call and both limpers call.

Pot: $80
Q 7 5

Checks to me. I bet $60. Folds to V who raises to $150 with $300 behind. This is the first time I've seen him check-raise.

Hero? Seems like a shove or fold spot...

fold ainecal

fwiw in the previous hand, why did you call AJo? (especially oop). You drew out on him but I think it was a bad call. That was a great hand to 3bet/fold or just fold.

I had the button in the AJ hand, and his opening range is wide. He doesn't just open with premiums.

Making a small raise with J6s on the button is a good way to make sure you have two bad sessions in a row. Fold pre. As played, fold.

Sounds about right

If you are going to play J6s - and I suggest you don't - you should probably raise bigger so it at least goes HU and you can at least rep a good hand if the flop comes down like Axx or Kxx vs that solo opponent.

As for a cbet on that board it's not bad vs 1 player but I'd just check back vs 3. You really don't want any of them to call and you defiantly don't want to get raised. The bet is a pretty big mistake IMO.

Ideally you want flops like 66x or J6x. Even a flop like J82 kinda sucks since if you do bet and get called it's likely you will have kicker problems.

Calling heads up hoping to out flop him is just throwing the money away.its the wrong mentality. Just trying to help your game man. Im still 3bet/folding to about 3x his raise.

V is labeled fishy for opening the button with J5s. Hero makes a raise over 2 limpers that is sized to certainly be called with J6s...

I could have phrased that better. The fishy comment was more with the J4o hand in mind.

So if I had raised more - to $30 - it would have been better? Or should I just try to isolate in position with better hands?

I don't mind the squeeze preflop.

You flop one of the best hands possible, and you bet out $60 into $80. I'd bet more like $30 or $40 to make it cheaper for when I just bet and everyone folds, and I don't have to face such large raises. I'm not even against checking through here. I would save the 3/4 pot bet into 4 players for when I COMPLETELY miss or smash the flop.
