What I'm saying is that the amount of stuff he can have that beats a king is really small, so that his calling range will be favorable even if he folds a lot of bluffcatchers.

Seems to me that V's line of bet turn/check river is consistent with a small flush. Hits his hand on the turn and bets, gets a little concerned we call, but plans to check call the river because if we have a K or bluffs we might bet and if he is behind, he can get to SD more cheaply than leading river and calling a raise.
