Maybe this isnt specific to llsnl but getting back into poker I am finding that its way too hard to remember specifics in HH's I am not involved in. Ive been playing for a month and have gotten to the point where I have a vague generalization at the skill level and play style of the majority of people I run into but things like limping ranges, remembering who leads out with draws etc is still too hard to remember.

Do any of the pros here have any exercizes or tips for retaining information at the table?

I feel like writing hands down at the table is bad for the game and I dont want to continually be leaving to record hands but I really dont see any other way.

I’m not a pro but I like to start with the player directly to my left and focus on figuring out his/her style. Once I have a good idea of their play style I move on to the next player

It’s pretty easy at these stakes: nearly everyone is terrible.

But seriously, my primary focus is on each player’s VPIP. Hands played, raised, limped, etc.

Ya that goes into kind of a vague generalization. I know who I can bet with 3 streets of value with tp2k and who bets/raises always has it type people but when you go into more precise things like bet sizing tells, who slow plays when, leading out into multiple ppl etc I find it easy to get lost.
