I was playing at TI one night. I flop a set of 10s on A 10 5 board with two clubs.

I don’t remember pre but I bet $50 on the flop. Opponent makes it $200. I have $208 total and ship it. Board runs out I win.

Floor rules that opponent didn’t act on the $8 raise. Rules that we get new turn and river.

He has 8c and hits running clubs.

To add insult

A few weeks later I am back in Philly playjng at Sugarhouse.

I get 3 bet by a fish and I four bet. I just throw out a random amount of chips. Like $220ish.

He shoves and it’s maybe $240-$250.

Dealer runs it out before I verbalize my call.

I ask floor for same ruling.

Him ‘I’m not running a new board over $25’

He threatens to ban me if I don’t make the pot right even though I never called.

Yeah, I would mostly just try to to dissociate the horribleness (or lack of horribleness) of the ruling itself from the results (which could just as easily randomly helped you as it could have hurt you).

TI ruling seems ok if he protected his action and didnt showdown, pointing out the dealer error. Otherwise I guess the ruling could stand that him showing his hand down indicated his intent to call and he has to make the pot right.

Its been a long time since I have seen a premature board card, the dealers at my locale are pretty solid. Theyve also gone to using all in and call buttons, so it helps clarify the action.

He raised to $200 and I just slid my whole stack in. I never said allin. Dealer didn’t realize it was $8 more. Honestly I’m not even sure who pointed out the $8 difference.
