It actually didn’t take long to collect the data. I probably spent 3-4 hours doing it while half paying attention/watching TV, then another hour or two to write the code to analyze the data. When I was really paying attention I could get through a hand in maybe 2 minutes?

I did think about trying to set up a sentiment analysis, but it would be tough since most people don’t clearly say call or fold and it often takes some thought to figure it out. e.g. “we’re not getting a good enough price”

Lol, it's no coincidence that in your other current HH post that I'm the only one who is leaning to sigh folding (while others are leaning to sigh calling).

Yeah, that hand in particular is representative of a shitty spot that I struggle with — we decide we’re “committed”, get most of the chips in, then an obviously bad turn/river rolls off (overcards to our overpair, flush completing, etc) and we have a dumb decision to make. Obviously I avoid these situations as much as possible but only so much you can do.

The other thing I do see (might be more applicable to your HH thread) is that people seem to ~somewhat forget that it's not just enough to compute the range you're likely up against but that it is also important to weight what the opponents do with various parts of that range.

For example, in your current HH thread your opponent likely shoves his 1/2 PSB on the turn into two opponents a huge percentage of the time with his nuttish hands. And yet he probably bets his worse-than-your hands (or bluffs), which are all still within the range we estimated for him, far less often (and in general probably even far less often than we think they do, especially passive MUBSY opponents). This weighting difference often changes those sigh calls based on range alone into sigh folds.
