1/3 NL.
Hero is in LP with QsJc. I have all the people in this hand covered. Just started playing in this casino, so don't know anyone. And only been in some small pots with the relevant players. Nothing much to mention.

3 limpers, till MP goes all in for 24. 1 caller, Hero calls, and button and EP calls
5 ways to a flop.

Flop: Q, 10, 7. Rainbow.

EP bets 25, hero calls and button calls.

Turn is J.

EP checks, Hero bets 35, Button shoves for 99. EP folds. Hero?

Seems like a decent amount of info is missing from this, including your starting stack. If you're betting 35 into a pot of what seems to be 195 with top two, then you're pretty much gonna have to call a lot of jams. If someone is playing K9 or 98, then you might have to pay them off.

How much did you have behind before betting? What's the effective stack at the table?

Fold pre probably best. Not sure why you would wanna take a garbage hand into a protected pot without initiative.

Pre flop is the problem. Pretty bad.

Given the apparently short stacks preflop is a mistake. As played can't fold top 2 given those pot odds but it's a sigh/pay off call. Too good a chance villain is on a worse two pair but your losing to a set/straight a lot.

Easy fold preflop. The first caller's calling range (and possibly even the all-in's range) has us crushed, plus any of the limpers might try to isolate all the dead money.

We're getting fantastic odds to call the flop bet. Thing is, it's into the world in a zero side pot, we beat no Qx (what, we're up against Q9?), and even hitting a J ain't great (as 98/AK gets there). Could nit fold here, imo.

What is everyone's stack size on the turn? Pot is like $175, looks like Button only has $125 left, not sure about SB donker. We've kinda made our bed here and even though there is a bunch of hands that could beat us, we should probably just rip it in ourselves at this point; I have zero clue what the point of a 1/5 PSB is. As played, we're ahead of JT, which might be enough although 98/AK just got there.

Sorry for missing info. I had around 400 to start. Table has been playing pretty loose, and this same situation had come up before with the same player getting short stacked, all in pre, with several callers with any two cards. I bet the 35 ott, thinking I might have the best hand, assuming a raise would have me beat and a call I would be ahead of. Obviously
I'm not in love with how I played the hand, hence the title of the thread. Lol. Thanks for the input so far guys.
