Four things haven't changed in the LNLHE games:

1. 90% of the players don't quit good. Tonight I watched 3 winners at my table not leave until they had lost 1/3rd or more of their winnings.

2. There are still plenty of good players that aren't great because they get too aggressive when they are winning & get snapped, then go on tilt & spew. They do this, IMO, because they've spewed in the past, got lucky & ran up a huge win.

3. They don't study enough. Which is my biggest leak that I'm aware of.

4. They don't believe what Hardball47 said. They don't want to test themselves, they want the money the easy way. They've achieved a level of success and are happy with it.

Take advantage of discount flops it only works if you play against morons that let you see the turn card for cheap and even this is out of this world if you already called a pf raise. All this so called "well play" is gonna go down when you missed the set and fold on the flop or when you flop less of a OEStr8-flush draw where you got some small edge on drawing.

You cannot achieve anything based on having a cheap draws only. You need to STEAL about 25% of time, have about 50% of time a great price to draw to the nuts and call or limp for cheap preflop. All those things have got to work in concert in order to avoid -EV with PP&SC

Agree with 1-3

Has 4. really changed though? Personally, I'm the total opposite. I let the boom pass me by despite being the perfect age for it(I'm in my low 30s now). I hate that I did that because I know I could have beaten those games into oblivion. I take the game much more seriously now.
