How far with 2 pair? How far with 2 pair?

Playing with a regular cast of characters...Villain 1 is not good and as usual, shortstacked. Has maybe $60 to start hand. Villain 2 is pretty good. Very aggressive pre-flop and has $450. I cover.

I'm in bb with A7. V1 and V2 limp. (1/2 game)button calls, I check.

Flop is AT7. I bet $10, V1 calls and V2 raises to 25. We can rule out AA, TT, and I think he usually raises pf with AT. I reraise to $80 and both call.

Sounds like someone has the 98 Proceed with caution. If any 10 especially 10 hits the board, fold.

With u having an A. I would rule out AA. No j 6 or H on the turn. We lead out for 200. Right now u probably have the best hand let's just fade some outs

I'm chk/folding any heart on the turn and chk/eval any 6 or paint. I don't think you are up against a set because that is a scary board and a lot of flop action not to try and get it in. I'm with betting ~$200 if a brick hits.

I'm just wondering, if V2 is "Very aggressive pre-flop" , why does he limp in lp with limpers??? or what does he limp with if anything, the play and read dont make sense, so i think he can have all hands AA, TT, etc... did V1 open limp because i've seen people sloplay hands pre when only a shortie is in in order to bring others along, deep limp AA??? i know its unlikely, but i don't think you can rule it out completely...

does look like T9h 98h QJh JTh KQh though

Most of the thoughts here are the ones I had. I really don't want to see a heart (although, if one comes, I hope its the all-in shortstack who has it). A 6, T or J will scare me as well.

Turn is 2. Shortstack was all-in on flop (only called $60ish of the roughly $100 bet, so about 180 in main pot and 80 in side). I bet $150 and get called by V2.

May have been a misread, but as he overlimped, I said we rule out AA and TT and greatly reduce the odds he has 77 or AT. I can't see him overlimping AA behind the short stack, as the SS has about $60ish and often stacks off light.
I'm obviously thinking he most likely has a flushdraw or straightdraw...small possibility of AT or 77.

I certainly hated to possibly drop 225bb in a $10 unraised pot. And I agree with the posters saying "bet 200". At least 180, as pot was 250ish.

Didn't consider checking the turn. Why? Induce a bluff? Check-raise for stacks?

Outcome: River is A. V2 shows T7 as he folds. (He is a decent, winning player, but limps too many hands I guess.)

which is why people say dont go broke in nothing pots, he screwed himself hard... shouldnt have even been in there, not even raising pf... note V2 blows, cant fold two pair when it should be obv he is beat, doesnt think about your hand

maybe check turn to rep a big draw yourself? then he bets to charge you if he has a hand, checks behind if he has a draw... i dont think he will bluff if you check to him, so by his action, you will know exactly what he has... then river is straight forward... of course all of what i just said is ******ed
