How do you approach a V that check-raises flop then checks the turn? How do you approach a V that check-raises flop then checks the turn?

2/5 in a 6-handed game. Game not playing weak tight but not splashy either.

Hero picks up AhAs in late position and raises to $15. Only the BB calls. Played a session where this V shoved into me on a turn of K735 board. Where V had A7 and I had top set. V said he didn't think I would play a strong hand that way since I raised large pre and c-bet the flop for pot.

Flop $32: Js5c4c

Hero bets $25 and gets check-raised to lol $55.

Hero has been bet/folding and has a losing image. My bet/folds probably make this V think I was bluffing instead of making hero folds. Hero knows he is in a crappy spot and debates on folding but ultimately calls.

Turn $142: 9d. V checks dark......Hero?

In game I lead for $100 looking to charge any of his top pair "see where he's at" or big draws.

Definitely bet the turn. In my experience this is often a flush draw looking to pick up a free card.

If he goes for the double x/r, easy fold.

That's a tough one....rarely see x/r bluffs in my game

Based on your previous description of V, he's just going to have to show me a better hand -- I'm putting him on a pair of jacks or a straight bluff because he doesn't believe you

I like b/f the turn here. Too many draws to let a free card come off.
