How did I play this hand? How did I play this hand?

Hi guys starting to play some live 2/2 wth a straddle optional and 300max buy in. Wanted to post this hand and see if I played it well, I feel like I did but if I don't post I won't know any other opinions. Not sure how to post a hh with it being live so I'll write it out.

Hero - tight aggressive haven't played a lot of hands In the session

Villain - loose aggressive and isn't afraid to put chips in

1 limp and a raise to 8$ I call on the button with t,8 hearts
Limper ( villain calls ).

Flop 9h,jh,qx. Villain checks and raiser bets 12$. I flat and villain raises to 45$
Raiser calls and I decide now to make it 135$ Villain shoves all in and covers both of us and I call, Eff stacks 370$ before the hand and raiser folds.

How did I play the hand? I feel like he could do that with 2 pair, maybe trip 9s as he limp called with some medium pairs previously and I just can't get away from the hand.

If there's any tips how to write out these hands more clearly I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Nothing else you can do. I probably would have raised the flop myself, but you got a good result. Nice hand.

There is a sticky for posting HH. You've done OK. Remember to give stacks and provide pot $ on each street (of course, basically moot in this case).

I think the flat on the BTN is fine with T8 but know that you should be folding this sometimes as well. I like raising the $12 cbet here as well but I think the way you played it is fine too.
Remember, you need to have a flop raising range. If you always call flop bets with the nuts planning to raise the turn, good players can exploit you.

How deep were you? With 200 or less preflop call seems kind of bad.

Calling the flop raise and planning to get it in on the turn can be ok, depends on what we think villain range is and whether he is capable of folding.

Hand was played fine, you are usually ahead when the money goes in here and even when you aren't ahead you have outs.

A couple of small criticisms:

T8s isn't a great hand, even on the button. Folding pre is often going to be your best bet or using it as a 3 bet bluff once you work on your game a bit. It's not awful to flat at certain tables if you think the villains are weak.

Raise flop the first time around. You have a monster hand on a draw heavy board. When there are lots of draws on the board it's good to raise with both your strong hands and your bluffs.

Let's say one of them has two pair or three of a kind and another heart comes, that will kill your action. If one of them had the nut flush draw, you want the money to go in now.
