Early in a session, hero stacked someone (flush over straight) and has been running hot preflop winning a few other hands at SD. We've played 15 hands and I've opened 5 of the last 6 hands pre due to strong preflop holdins (folded all the others). Only the flush/straight showed down, I flopped flush draw + 2 overs c-bet got called. I picked up gutter on turn and check called a 1/2 psb and hit my flush then shoved $100 into $140ish. That board was T73J8 so I 1 liner to the straight other guy had 89 btw and called river.
Villian not too many reads, seems competent I played with him once before and he didn't get out of line but he wasn't agro enough for me to call him a TAG either.
Otth:
Villain $200 hero covers vis in mp1
2 limpers to hero who raises to $15 in CO w/ A
T
, both limpers call
Flop: ($48) Q
6
5
C, c, hero $31, V1 calls, V2 folds
Turn: ($110) 3
C, c
River: ($110) 4
C, hero? ($144 effective)
Ok so here is the reasoning for each street please let me know if you dislike anything even though I'm mainly asking about river.
Pre seems standard given position.
Flop after 2 checks on this relatively dry board I figured c-betting with my winning image was ok, I wouldn't say I have a range advantage here but it's a pretty neutral flop I think. I also knew given I've played 5 of the last 6 hands 1 bullet is probably not enough to beat 99 here. I figured I would fire a 2nd shot on numerous turns (K, J, or club, I would likely check back A because I think a lot of what I'd want to get value from would fold to my 2nd barrel).
Turn, this seems like a bad card to fire at so I'm essentially done w/o an A river.
River, hmmm can I use the prior hand to my advantage and ship 1.5x pot here and get him off Qx? I know there is basically no 7s in my range here but I don't think he is good enough to be thinking about that, also given turn checked through I doubt he's checking the river to me. That being said he probably sees me as aggressive because I am compared to most in this game.
Thoughts?
