Hi all, first time posting here. An interesting hand I wanted to share with you:

Live 1/2 @ Springfield MGM. Hero is effective stack $125.

3 limpers from MP / LP. Hero has 6c6s, checks. Pot is $9. Individuals are very sticky and I figured a raise would mean folding on most flops I don't hit a 6, opted to set mine out of position and play fit or fold post.

Flop comes Kd 6d 5s. Hero checks (w/ intention to check raise). MP bets $10 into $9. LP raises to $30. Hero 3-bet shoves all in $123. The board is very wet especially for a limp pot. I am left with less than pot behind if I raise smaller. No reason to fear top set (KK) as both players limped. All reasons that went into the decision.

MP folds. LP is very deep stack, tank calls with Jd 3d (diamond flush draw). Turn 10s. River 7d. Villain makes their flush and hero loses the max.

How did I play this hand? Is there a case for raising 66 from the BB? Do I ever check call the flop and shove brick turns, maybe to get value from both players? Do I ever check raise and shove the turn? Not upset about how villain played the hand as I got it in very good, more just a spot where I wasn't sure how to get max value, and ended up getting sucked out on. Would love to know what you all think.

This hand was played very well at these stack depths. As you point out, you essentially have the nuts in a limped pot as no one should have KK.

Your only raise size facing a bet and a raise is AI. (And no, I don't think V is folding if you raise smaller and jam a brick turn.) You just got an unlucky runout. Happens.

Bad luck. Flush doesn't hit the river you may never even be posting this. If you have someone that will commit an effective stack over 100bb's on a non nut draw when you have the nuts you are in a juicy game. Reload.

You didn't lose the max, you just lost the pot.
If you said you gained the max, that would be more accurate :P.

I'm leading the flop here btw, slow playing a short stack isn't the way you make money with one.
