Is it possible to make convertable hand histories from scratch?

I would like ro convert some hhs from live games, plus I can't get hands from pokerstars home games to convert.

Any help is much appreciated.

Why not just type them in by hand? It's what I do.

Do you mean you enter the hand info into the converter by hand, or you just post the hand without converting it?

I would prefer to have the hands converted cuz they're so much easier to read.

Is it possible to take an existing hh, that i know will convert, and change the details like action, board cards, stack sizes, etc.?

No it really wouldnt be possible. For example if any players took different actions than the ones in your "template" HH it would have to be modified to account for those differing actions. Meaning you'd have to know how to... add a PF 3bet that wasn't in the original HH and then add the subsequent other player's PF actions while maintaining the spacing and formatting necessary for a converter to interpret it. Just not possible/practical.

The only option i have other than manually typing out a hand, is to use this app for my iPhone called "Hand History". You tell it ALL the actions that each player took, including PF folds and it will create the hand and upload it to their site so you can use their HH replayer to review it. Or just play it on the phone. Nice program but its really cumbersome to enter a hand so it flows right in the replayer, also you still dont get a text HH that you could put into a traditional converter.

I'm guessing most (if not all) the hand histories you see in this forum are typed in manually since this is a live forum.

So long as you type'em up in a clear fashion with all the relevant info (reads and position of relevant players, their approximate stack sizes, size of pot and numbers of players per street, the cards, etc.) I'm sure you won't have any problems.

I know that this thread is a little old. But just in case the OP or any new guys searching for an answer come across this- Here is the best solution I have found so far.

I spent an age trying to find something that worked and found it was something that there seemed to be a demand for. Alas I didn't find anything that was perfect, but here is what I would suggest.

Go to this site:

http://www.handconverter.com/tools/generator

Enter all of the live details for the hand. Be sure to check the box for who won the hand eventually on the second page.

When you have finished it will produce a FTP Hand History report.

Once you have this it should play on any re-player that supports FTP histories.

Or.. What I used is this one:

http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/impo...nce=1629301228

They supposedly have a manual live history input converter on that site too.. but I wouldn't bother, I found it very buggy and never really got it to work properly doing it that way.

You can save HHs on that site, either join or just keep a note of the URL of your hand. You'll have to be online to view them.

Just a note (not sure why this happens) but it drove me nuts until I worked it out. When you are inputting the names of the players makes sure that the first three letters of their names are not the same.. If they are then it seems to conflict with something in the re-player and it wont work.

Anyhow, hope this helps..
