Good bluff spot? 2/5

Hero(UTG) - 21 y/o, white, got some grizzly beardy **** going on right now, LA hat, hoody, friendly, TAGish tonight.. Had a very spewy brazilian on my right most of the session and have was card dead for quite awhile so I haven't been involved in many pots and honestly can't remember if I have even been to showdown yet, except with losing hands. KK on an A high board I mucked, and also lost at showdown to the nut flush with my 2 pair at the very start of my session.

V(C/O) - late 20's, euro guy (From Austria) been playing pretty tight, haven't seen anything really out of line. Saw him 3b pre earlier to 70 after button raises to 20, button flatted and flop came Q-J-7 he led for 110 and button raised to 240 he tanked for 30 seconds or so and looked confused and folded. I haven't seen any hands of his go to showdown. Haven't been involved in any notable hands with him either.

Hero dealt 77 raises to 15. Folds to V who 3b's to 50.. folds to me I call.

Flop J-5-3 Hero checks, V checks.

Turn 4 Hero checks, V bets 60.. I call and plan to x/r most rivers if he bets.

River 3 I check, he bets 150, I ask how many bills he says 4.. Hero basically snap shoves ~5-10 seconds of thought.

I felt he was pretty weak with the flop check back, and turn 60$ bet, he has been c-betting most hands he was in btw.

His hand looks a lot like 99-1010. Interesting line. I think I like.

Do you think he bets the river with 99 and TT?

It seems to me that if we really think he is weak here we can just call... I assume when you say weak you mean he doesn't have AA-JJ. If you think that he will fold AA-QQ though, then this is probably great, I'm just not so sure.

Checking QQ-AA on this flop would be strange.

Our hand looks a lot like AK/AQ with a club or like something it actually is--middle pair.

Re: Good bluff spot? 2/5

I dont care for it. I think if i got to the river here and thought he was light I would simply call. I see no hand he bets the river with here (with his line) that isnt really strong or a simple 2nd attempt at bluff and with his SOP I think its value quite often. So this would be a call or fold on river.

A nit guy like this could easily check back top set or sometimes get cute with a flush draw etc. And he isnt folding the flush to a river shove since hero line is in doubt big time.

What are stacks? Regardless of that, fold pre. I doubt stacks are deep enough to call a bet that big out of position to set mine.

As played it is a pretty terrible line to take because you'd never take it for value. You're representing I guess a flush that check called the turn, and now wants to stack off that the board has paired? Or you're representing a full house that checked a set on the turn after it checked through? You're never getting credit for a 3.

I think you're going to get snapped off a lot here if the villain can hand read, because your line does not tell a believable story.

When it works I'd wager we were ahead anyway.

I don't see much reason to turn a hand with showdown value into a bluff in this spot.

His line is kinda FOS, so I think it's a decent spot for a call down. Your line with the river check/raise is very FOS, so I think you are only folding out the hands that you already beat anyway.

I don't really understand the river shove, I think hero was ahead post flop based on action. Essentially turning hand into a bluff on river when hero probably didn't need to.

Re: Good bluff spot? 2/5

A c/r here would be an attempt to bluff out a few combos of 88-TT, but surely he's checking those back pretty often based on description, no? He can have some weirdly played sets and flushes here.

V's range certainly includes some whiffed Ac combos too (which are irrelevant to the call/raise decision).

It looks like a good play to me, only thing I would be worried about it JJ. I seems lot of rec players check monsters on the flop. Idk if I missed it in the OP but what we're stack sizes? Assuming you had a good amount of FE

Stack sizes were ~700+ I covered. I don't know the exact.

Re: Good bluff spot? 2/5

Haha yea...after thinking about it not sure what i'm repping the river. JJ most likely but that's about it, if I hadn't showed so much passiveness on previous streets I think I could've repped QQ+ but it ended up not making sense on the river.

Spoiler:
